Since the X-Box and PS2 went on sale recently, does anyone know if the gamecube is going down in price any time soon?
dont buy a gamecube even though they might be cheap, all my friends traded in their gamecubes they said the gamecube blows. but if u really want one i think they are on sale at gamestop for like 99 dollars
I've got a Cube and PS2 and I'll admit my PS2 blows the 'Cube out of the water. Game selection, most graphics, etc. is better on the 'Station. However, I've got most of the REALLY good games for the Cube (Zelda, Eternal Darkness, Metroid, SSBM, Resident Evil) and I'm looking forward to the upcoming Rogue Squadron.
Cube owns i got a ps2 and a cube. PS2 was the **** when it first came out but they havent come out with anything decent in so long. Gamecube has much more quality than quanity.
I never buy a system because it has better graphics or sound or whatever hardware Microsoft or Sony or Nintendo want to boast about. These days, every new system is an asskicker and do enough, so I go with game selection. PS2 probably has more good-great games, but when you compare the amount of time each has been out, I think the Gamecube has been putting them out more frequently.
If you want quality, go with the Game Cube. I can't wait for Metal Gear Solid to finally come to Nintendo. MGS: The Twin Snakes is MGS with the same graphics as MGS 2 and some extra stuff, I can't wait.
I got a PS2 and a Gamecube. Both great systems, and I'm pretty much covered in anything I want to play. The Cube is already 50 bucks cheaper than the other two, and that includes a free game (or two) in some places. ALSO, I read somewhere that Gamestop.com has a Gamecube deal with a GBA and two games for like 140 bucks. Might want to check that out.
I have had a Game Cube for about a year now and I must say, I've never regretted my purchase. It really powerful for such a small system. Right now, I just want the new Mario Kart to hurry up and come out so I can begin putting the smack down on my little brothers when I visit home.
Nov. 17, 2003. The day I break down and purchase a Gamecube. Hopefully they will have bundle packs so that I can get MKDD and the GC together. Then I can line up my NES, SNES, N64, and GC all together and go buckwild. My poor PS2 and Dreamcast will be left covered in dust.
I could have sworn that I just read an article on CNN that suspected that the GC will drop to $100 very, very soon, with the other makers doing even more price drops afterwards.
Sorry guys, but I gotta say that Dreamcast rules... I know their out of production and you can't get any new games, but it's still "old reliable"...
The Dreamcast was one of the greatest game consoles ever. It just did not get the proper support from Sega. It had some freakin kick a$$ games, as well as some of the most sought after rare games ever made.
Am I the only one that found Vice City to be average? I just can't get excited about playing that game.
I'm gonna throw my hat in the Dreamcast ring. I *LOVE* my dreamcast. NBA2k2 is still awesome, Shenmue is great, and the very best -- Soul Calibur. That is THE BEST fighting game I've ever played.
Dreamcast and Xbox are where it's at. PS2 sucks and Gamecube is just plain horrible. Everything about Gamecube just sucks, imo, especially the controller. I mean, Eiko Ishiokia - whatever her name is - could have designed a better controller than the people that came up with that deformed piece the Gamecube uses.
I like the gamecube controller, instead of memorizing which symbol goes with which button, the buttons are different sizes and shapes and can be recognized by touch instantly. BTW, has anybody here seen a Panasonic Gamecube Q. Thos Japanese bastards never want to share their coolest stuff with us.
All I have is a Dreamcast. I don't play much at all though. What games do y'all recommend for it? My all time favoirte game was Zelda I for N64. What are the "rare" games?
You would definately like Windwaker if your favorite game was Zelda 64, which is also my favorite game of all time. Get yourself a Gamecube, they are cheap. I don't know what the rare games are, though I had a friend spend an a$$ load of money on a rare game for Dreamcast. It was called Radient Silver Gun. I didn't think it was so special, maybe rare. It was a shooter though, maybe harder than say 1941 and what not, but I don' think it was worth what he spent. Like over $100.
