I'm flying in to Stuttgart on Sunday. I need a place to watch game 1. And apparently the locals are going to be way tooooo busy with Okterberfest...or however you spell it.

Where is Sir Jackie Chiles, aka AroundtheWorld' when people need him.

    Game 1...anyone interested?

I am going to find a place in Stuttgart to watch this game. We've been waiting 1 1/2 years for this.

    Let's go!

There is no Oktoberfest in Stuttgart... and all Oktoberfests in Germany are already finished ;-).

I don`t think you will find any bar or something that shows the game here... it will be like 2 or 3 am. Your best bet is the internet or some user on clutchfans that lives in Stuttgart and is willing to let you watch with him.

As LikeMike said, Oktoberfest is over...

    Never too far away ;).

There will be no place in Stuttgart that will be open from 4:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. that shows this game. Sorry. Your best bet will probably be adthe.net or whatever it is called, unless you have NBA Broadband International or you find a hotel that offers the station "Sky Sport" which has the NBA TV rights for Germany. I just checked their schedule and they have NBA TV on that night, so I would assume they show the game (even though I have had pleasant and unpleasant surprises in terms of what games they show - schedule just says "NBA TV" and sometimes, they just show previews, background clips and whatever).

I believe the internet version of League Pass has a free preview through Nov. 1. I am sure there was a thread on this in the last day or two.

Since you're in Germany that period go to ilp.nba.com it's free till 1st of November. Also, the game starts at 4:30am German Time as someone above mentioned. I'm pretty sure some German TV will broadcast it.

Hey stupid, how did you get that name again? ;)

Much respect for keeping the name, I see Heypartner didn't keep his.

this ought to solve the issue.

as far as the nbatv through the hotel as suggested, would that matter that the game is being broadcast on TNT in the US?. they are part of the same parent company. that's a pretty cool feature, ATW.

Isn't there a free preview of NBA League Pass, and League Pass Broadband for a week or so? You could watch it with that! Better put on a pot of coffee ...

    Thanks for all the tips.

Oktoberfest is over?? But it's still October. Stupid Germans. ;)

Was hoping someone in Stuttgart right now would reply. We could watch the game delayed crouched over my laptop eating large at a bar.

wasn't allowed to. at some point poor Will got all confused about who was who and used his influence to get all our names changed back...except StupidMoniker/Hydra apparently slipped through the cracks of obscurity.

I think there are about 2 still active German posters on this board...one is GermanRoxFan (no idea where he is based), the other one would be me...I'm in Denmark right now. There used to be Jovi, but I think he's been gone for a while.

none of this is applicable to the OP, who is posting from overseas as mentioned in his thread title.

but to answer your question, there will be a League Pass preview on cable but no Broadband preview in the US has been mentioned

Less slipped through the cracks, more never changed the original name, just made a new account. The Hydra account can't be accessed because I switched to a swirve.com email addy (because the school email I signed up with was being closed) and because that is a free email I never got the confirmation so I am locked out of it. Just kept on using the alt account after the bet period ended. No biggy, I have been using this name longer than I used the other one now and I don't care about post count. The Hydra posts are still searchable.
