Every one of these games was winnable, and the next four can be just as winnable. Come on guys! Don't give up!
your right... hell we are averaging over 4.66 runs a game in the series vs one of the best pitching staffs in baseball. The Astros could have won all of these games.. but I think Garner has made some very questionable decisions that may have cost them each game.
The lack of good hitters is glaringly obvious in a series like this. Who are the Astro's clutch hitters, besides Berkman? And Asmus might be a great catcher but he can't hit a red barn with a brickbat, and I think a turtle could outrun his throw to second. When pitching is anything less than spectacular, this team is in deep trouble. Right now, I think the White Sox's batboy could hit a homer off of the Astro relievers. The series is over, but I hope the Astros can win at least one game for the fans. The roof decision is ridiculous and the fans should give the league an earfull on this one.
Backe gets a huge WIN. Astros 7-3. Astros are setup with their 1-2-3 pitchers and they mow down the Sux to mount an unbelievable comeback.
The "bullpen" was perfect last night. Astacio is a joke though. Ausmus made a great play on the bunt double play.... So many chances to win just pissed away. I still can't give up though.
