I'm sitting here watching the worst NBA finals ever played, a series so boring my mind wandered instead to the X in Speedy Claxton's name. Can you name other current and past NBA players with X's in their names? No peeking at rosters or directories.

I'll start with Clyde Drexler and Vernon Maxwell.

    Rick Fox

Also, Tito Maddox, although I am unsure if he really qualifies as an NBA player... :)

    Cory Alexander
Jim Paxson (maybe the better of the two brothers)

Speaking of XMac, I remember Hakeem used to punch him in the face at least once a year when he was younger. Ahhhhh ......80s Rocket memories.

    Juan Dixon

    Norm Nixon

Alex Hannum (former Rocket coach; not sure if that counts)

    Speedy Claxton

    Larry Micheaux (UH ex)

    Tim Breaux (Rocket ex)

Only other one I can think of without looking up stuff is a player by the last name of Maxey who played a year or so in the early 90s. I wanna say his 1st name was Melvin or something like that.

OK, I guess this is hard enough, we should allow coaches too.

You're thinking of former UTEP Miner Marlon Maxey. He played a year or two for Minnesota in the early 90s...

New Jersey and San Antonio should be banned from the league for enticing a man to start a thread like this.

Say what you want, but i wish the Rockets played that boring ball and won a title. Remember, this is a team that has 1 bonafide scorer and everything goes through him. Its boring, but effective. The stats say the pistons are the best defensive team, but i've always though of the spurs to be the best on defense.
