This is the last game played at the Season's end.
This game is highly likely to determine seeding and playoff position, right?

It's part 2 of ESPN's Double Header (after the ROCKETS play the mavs 1st)

How will Denver and Portland play, knowing they have the final results from all the games from earlier?
Is there a scenario that could benefit both teams that could negatively effect the Rockets?
Will there be a game that involves both the Nuggets and Blazers in a desperate attempt to beat eachother though advantage will help Houston?

What will the two brackets look like if Portland won or Denver won?

If the bracket really comes down to this game, are the Rockets good enough to get to at least the WESTERN CONFERENCE FINALS in either result? Or will we route for one team over the other? And can we blame it on the "playoff bracket match-up breakdown" if we don't get very far?

I look forward to at least seeing both brackets projected. It will really influence my opinions on how far the Rockets GO for 2009!!
    !!!((Ready))!!!

as for right now, I'm am liking the fact that we can possibly force the jazz into 8th, by letting dallas win.

That may increase our chances for a #3 spot, which i like because that will likely end up us playing the Hornets. The 20 point win tonight against them is still good, despite them having to play in a gutsy back to back. In a way, we've been done a big favor by new orleans, TWICE. They beat dallas to protect 6th and we can let dallas win to keep 7th on the last day, game 82.

What i'm saying is, I like the 3 spot...easier path to WCF. Way easier.

Man there have been so many threads created about this stuff, but nobody bothers to look at the two stickied threads where this is all being discussed.

Now if there's a four-way tie among Denver, Houston, SA, and Portland at the end of this year with identical 54-28 records, how will the teams be ranked? I still haven't figured that out and it looks more and more likely now.

guys please. I know ur trying to insult my intelligence in a subtle manner by stating i'm not aware of the potential of the sticky.

My focus is on the study of what it may all come down to. Denver and Portland. Can I just have this so I can..."work my theory" in a centralized effort rather than dump it into the psychobabble of everyone's presumptions or speculations of elements/values/teams/beliefs in our teams abilities?

i'm talking about the bracket impact when it comes down to this game. the last game of the season. it may be big. it can change everything, it's almost hard to not see this game being irrelevant.

What are you talking about...if we lose to Dallas, we're likely to drop to #5 seed. You know why?? Because it's very likely that Spurs can beat Hornets at home and Portland beating Nuggets at home.

So Dallas game is considered a MUST WIN game IN ORDER for us to get homecourt advantage. So you don't know what you're talking about. Do some research and study the team schedules.
