I didn't notice the refs much in this game, and we came out with a 10 point game! Nothing to rescind from this game. I hope we get this crew for the rest of the series!!! CLUTCH CITY!
They were actually quite awful. They kept Portland in it for the entire game until the last 4 or 5 minutes.
Portland: 40 pts in the paint 23 fts Rockets: 60 pts in the paint 18 fts I feel Robin Lopez got more respect in the paint than Dwight.
true but dwight never gets calls. he's just too big so they always let the opposing player to play super physical on him
i was pissed that Dwight got that phantom 3rd foul, when Aldridge got away with clear push on Asik which would send him to the bench for the quarter, just like Dwight. We would of been up by 20 in halftime.
So now we have to appreciate the refs when they dont give the blazers every single foul and watch us get hammered on our side all game long. How many time shave we seen the rockets go down 3-1, make it 3-2 then lose the series in 6? Its the same thing every time, and you guys expect a different result. I guess that is what being a fanatic means.
They called phantom fouls on Asik and fouled him out. Thankfully, Dwight was a BEAST on defense and even was able to prevent LMA from getting into a groove.
Most of the Blazers points in the 4th were free throws which played a huge part in their run. Asik and Dwight were in foul trouble the whole night while none of the Blazers players were. They seemed hesitant to call Aldridge on his 3rd in the first half (push off on Asik to get open) and his 4th in the 3rd quarter (double team on Asik but Mo Williams convinced them to give it to him).
WIldly inconsistent all night. Lots of touch fouls, and lots of hard contact where they let them play.
It wasn't as bad tonight as it has been earlier in the series, but I still feel it wasn't good. Some phantom calls on Dwight and Omer that kept our bigs in foul trouble throughout the game. Aldridge had some blatant fouls that weren't called. Also there were a few fouls that should have gone against Aldridge that the refs gave to someone else.
