Here is the last two minute (and overtime) report from Game 5: http://official.nba.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2017/05/L2M-HOU-SAS-05-09-17.pdf Call hurts Spurs: Call hurts Rockets: So for the Spurs, neither incorrect call lead to any points for the Rockets. Beverley turned the ball over by stepping out of bounds at 01:53.0 in Q4 and The Rockets obviously didn't score on their last possession. As for the Rockets, the uncalled travel did not lead to any points for the Spurs. However, all three missed calls that occurred in OT that hurt the Rockets occurred in succession. The missed foul on Aldridge at 1:19 in OT led directly to a Rockets turnover. The next two missed calls both occurred on the next Spurs possession where Danny Green ended up making a three at 0:56.5 to put the Spurs up 106-104. FWIW, I absolutely think the reason the Rockets lost the game is the hero ball at the end of the game. It doesn't matter how tired Harden was, that was the worst offense I've seen the Rockets play under MDA. Kawhi wasn't in the game and we still managed to lose. However, stealing a possession from the Rockets (potentially free throws because I don't think Harden was actually passing on the drive Aldridge got away with the foul) that lead directly to the Spurs getting three points is HUGE in any game. Edit: The two other "controversial" calls, Simmons "flop" at the end of regulation and the Danny Green And-1 in OT, were both ruled correct calls.
"Q4 01:08.0: Leonard (SAS) ends his dribble and takes more than two steps after his gather. (Should have been traveling on Leonard)" Clutch faints
So what's the point of these reports anyway??? They're useless unless they lead to better officiating... so they're pretty damn useless.
Here's the link to the traveling, once again showing how Kawhi gets away with it at end of game, when EVERYONE is looking at him. http://official.nba.com/last-two-minute-report/?gameNo=0041600235&eventNum=1270 Sure that traveling doesn't hurt us, because he misses (maybe not with a good ankle), but it was a great look at the basket. it should be a very easy call to make. It's like they aren't even looking at his feet. Not one of the refs, and he's right there stuck in the middle of the lane with nowhere to go....stops his dribble and everything.
manu travels too. that big dunk was a travel, but no way the refs take that away I swear this happened in the regular season, manu turns it up in the fourth. he is going out with a bang, have to respect that. he even toned down his flopping.
