After seeing Dallas come back against the Jazz in game 5, i was watching ESPN and they showed a list of the greatest game 5 comebacks in 5game series. we werent on the list. in 95, in the first round, against utah, didnt we make a comeback in the fourth quarter? how many points were we down by? i cant remember any of these details, if someone could remind me of the specifics of this game id appreciate it. game 5, first round, utah vs houston, 1995 ------------------ make it stop.
We were down by 8 with about 5 minutes left to go if my memory serves me correct. We were on thier list for biggest comebacks though (not in game 5's). Phoenix came back against us after being down 20 to take eitehr game 1 or 2 (i cant remember) back in first championship season. I think it remains the biggest playoff comeback ever, a very impressive feat by Phoenix, but nowhere near as impressive as them actually losing that series after beating us twice on our court to open it ------------------ I hope, when they die, cartoon characters have to answer for their sins.
I might have missed it, but not only did they not show the Rockets comeback against the Jazz, but I didn't remember them showing Denver coming back on Seattle in the first round in '94. NBA.com TV showed that Houston-Utah game 5 back in January. Even looking at it again I don't have a clue how the Rockets pulled it out! ------------------ See the three, be the three.
I think that win was what initially gave us the nickname Choke City And that gave us the name Clutch City GO ROCKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ------------------ My company declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy, then agreed to merge with another company, which also declared for Chapter 11 bankruptcy... should I be worried?
We were down 10 with 4 minutes to go AT Utah in game 5 on their court, and Clyde and Dream pulled us out of trouble and into repeat city. DaDakota ------------------ If you like RTS games, check out this one. www.frontierwars.com coming soon to a PC near you.
RocksMillenium They showed the Denver-Seattle game 5 awhile ago right at the start of the playoffs, it was part of a 24-hour run of good playoff games. ------------------ Founder and President of the Houston Homers Club(HHC) - Are you a homer? Join now! The Rockets will be NBA champions. Believe.
Is there a place we can find out the schedule for nba.com tv? I looked at nba.com and I couldn't find anything... ------------------
That Denver team and the 95 Orlando team were suppose to be the future of the NBA. So much for that. ------------------ President of the Steve Francis, Jamal Crawford,Larry Hughes, and Charles Woodson fan club.
ooooh man! good memories. best day of my life (sports wise) by a HUGE margin. ------------------ the nuggets suck...i know, i know!
Man I missed that! I wanted to see that game again! Lol, I bet it was! That is still one of my favorite playoff games ever. I was rooting for Denver, and my family was over to visit. I told them that Denver would win that game, and they thought I was crazy. Denver came back for a 3-0 deficit on Utah to lose a tough game 7 as well. Man, Nuggets management ruined a good thing. ------------------ See the three, be the three. [This message has been edited by RocksMillenium (edited May 06, 2001).]
it was our old management, ascent. not signing mutombo plus the phonz injuries plus bernie bickerstaff was just not a good mix at all. still great memories though. the utah series was cool but game 3 (which we lost) we should have won had we fouled malone (we had one to give) before he got a wide open J to tie. not to say we would have then won games 4,5, and 6 again but still. ------------------ the nuggets suck...i know, i know!
