We're planning to do beach outing this summer in one of the beach house in Galveston. Do you guys know of a beach house for rent in this area? Thanks.

    Sand 'N Sea

Best houses during the summer are likely gone 6 months in advance.

    Good luck.

If I may suggest an alternative to Galveston, which is Magnolia Beach in Port Lavaca.

It's about a 2.5 hr drive south of Houston. It has better water, better fishing, much quieter and rural than Galveston.

You can drive right up on Magnolia Beach and setup camp. You can even start your own campfire, as long as you clean up after yourself.

    TeamUSA-

Yes, it's safe. It's very country, but also a beach town at the same time. It's hard to describe, but it's a hidden gem for sure.

If you like to fish, you'll be amazed at how much good fishing there is there.

Check out Indianola Fishing Marina if you go there. There's interesting history behind that area as well, being that's where the Germans that colonized arrived.

Here's the website to that fishing marina, www.indianolafishingmarina.com

Btw, there are no street lights at night, so be careful when drivnig at night.

What are you looking for? A party? Fishing? A getaway? As pointed out, location matters.
