Has anyone seen this game? It's an odd combination of rugby, soccer and even basketball.

The ball is round like a soccer ball. They do two kinds of "dribbling"-- once in a while they bounce it off the turf and some other times they kick it to themselves (like dribbling a soccer ball in the air).

The forward passes seem to have to be thrown underhand, but sometimes they serve it like an underhand volleyball serve. I even saw some backdoor plays.

They can kick goals like soccer or field goals like football or Australian Rules football.

Here's a link to some Gaelic football highlights: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDwXzyZtKp0

Oh, and they seem to call the playing field a "park."

Ye ive watched a little bit of it. At the end of every year the best AFL players play the Irish team in a series. Its always brutal, very violent usually. Its a good game to watch. :)

nice game, but the lack of tackling is just bizarre when compared to our national past time in australia
