I was just so sure I had to have a Handspring Delux Visor PDA a couple of years ago. I ordered it online and waiting in anticipation because they were so backordered. I finally got it...put all my addresses and a few games on it. Now it sits in my desk drawer like a tired toy. I'm sure some people use theirs religiously but I just got tired of fooling with it. It's nothing more than a fancy address book for me. I finally quit buying music cd's. I was notorious for buying them and listening once or twice to it. I'd rather listen to talk radio while driving and don't listen to my stereo much at home anyway. Anyone out there got a similar story? I betcha there are a few of you with a Bowflex sitting in a room with your laundry draped over it. os
Yeh say you don't use your pilot any more? Lookin ta get rid of it? Cause I'd gladly take it of your hands
I bought a chinup bar and one of those ab-rollers that I never use anymore. The chin up bar was because I simply did not trust the damn thing to hold me up. I know they are designed to have people hanging on them, but it just didn't feel very stable at all. The ab-roller piece of crap just didn't work. They said to do it just 3-5 minutes a day and you will feel it. I did the damn thing 5 minutes a day for like 4 straight days, and I never once felt at all tight or sore in my abs. The damn thing just didn't work.
I bought a TEAC mini MP3 cd player.... haven't used it once. Maybe on that next vacation or something... I do use the hell out of my RIO 32mb MP3 player... great for running... all digital, no skipping!
Game Boy Advance... I thought, "awesome, a portable SNES" but never got around to buying any of the old classics.
Hey, I use my BowFlex religiously at times for several months on end when I'm in workout mode. However, the rest of the time, it does make a good rack for drying washed rugs on and hanging your jackets on when in the BowFlex is in the folded position. I've used it more than enough times to justify the cost. Unfortunately, right now it is in hanger mode. Of course, it did break on an incline bench press, bust my head open, and I was re-imbursed the entire cost of the machine for my pain and suffering. Still a good product and probably the best home gym around. The newer version looks even better. Maybe I can bust my head open again and get the newer one for free? Nah...that wasn't very fun the first time around and I've got a scar on my forehead to prove it. Surf
I had gotten a handheld football and basketball game. I was going to use it on trips to Houston or other long car rides, but I only used it once. I don't even know where it is anymore, and I got it less than a year ago. It made the gameboy look like a PS2.
probably the game boy pocket, which i HAD to have when it came out and then when it did, i played it for a month. now it sits and has about two inches of dust on it.
1. Sony PS2... never touch it. I started playing Madden last week, but got bored 2. George Foreman grill... As a vegetarian, I bought it to grill fresh veggies to put in sandwiches, which I eat daily. But I really don't like the prep time it takes to marinate the veggies and than the cleanup time it takes afterwards. Yeah, I'm lazy, i know, i know.
My Clutch BBS "Ignore" Button! J/j I too bought a Handspring Visor and watch it look shiny with no use. - I have a set of Golf Clubs that have been used twice in 6 years - A "Reflections of Love" 80's CD that i bought after a long, inebriated night a few years ago. - A "Pure Moods" CD....see above. - A Whole Winter Wardrobe that never gets used in Houston
I think the bodybuilders of America who live and die by free weights would beg to differ. I think it is very effective at increasing your muscle mass and allowing you to work out alone without a spotter. Plus, the convenience and ease of use are major pluses. It is very effective....just as effective as free weights and even moreso if used properly IMHO. Watching a newbie use it is kind of funny because they don't have the form down yet and it requires more effort to stabilize and keep proper form. The new one is much better than my 4 year old one. If your serious about working out, then I highly recommend it. I don't think any one who uses it for six weeks will even say it's not worth it. Some just have to use free weights no matter what which I don't really care about. Some people just buy one and never use it cause their lazy. It's not going to use itself and, if you don't have the motivation to stay on a weight training program, then it will never be used. I've never heard anyone claim it sucks who really gave it a chance by using it for several weeks. In the four years I've had it, I have probably used it for a year and a half of that time on a serious program. Without it, I would probably have never spent anywhere close to that time weight lifting because you basically have to go to a gym. It does so many exercises....it is incredible what all you can do. Hey, it busted my head open and I still endorse it. I want the new one...I wish I could trade in my old one.
A joystick for my computer -- play PS2 exclusively now. An electric toothbrush -- never liked the feel of the vibrations against my teeth -- reverted back to the normal toothbrush within 3 days
