For those of you outside the Houston area who were disappointed to learn that the Astros-Cubs is NOT on WGN tonight, you can see the game on the Fox Family channel (not to be confused with Fox or Fox Sports).

The Astros broadcast (Ch. 51 in Houston) will be on Time Warner Ch. 77 in Austin.

Fox Family has a game every Thursday night, but they usually start it at 6:00 CDT which tends to favor games on the East Coast.

Incidentally, since Fox has all of the playoff games this year, Fox Family may show some of those, especially ones on Sunday that will go head to head against the NFL. Prior to the delay brought on by the attacks, Fox was going to be able to stagger the games on Sundays. Now they may not be able to.

Just from their body language, I thought the Stros looked like they knew they were gonna lose.

And the best part of tonight's game NOT being on WGN is that we are not subjected to Chip Carey and Joe Carter. Those guys are painful to listen to. Carter just makes stuff up as he goes along. One game he mentioned how the Astros have tried to get Bagwell to change his stance to cut down on his injuries. Considering the only 2 times Bagwell has been on the DL was due to a broken hand sort of disproves that theory.

Also, he remarked how great Enron stadium was because the roof made it a comfortable place to watch a game in the hot Houston summers. I guess he forgot about the Astrodome.

I'll probably watch it on Fox Family just because I want to hear what the national guys are saying about us.

National TV games at Enron Field not on Fox Saturday are blacked out in Austin. For example, last night's game was not available on ESPN 2.

I am watching the game on fox midwest (Cubs station). Carter is not doing the game.

    I agree, he is terrible.

I think Fox Family is blacked out in Austin. I've been staring at black screen for the last minute. That's just great. Turn to Ch. 77.

I don't get it. Here in Dallas, I put it on Fox Family, and the digital cable description is that the Astros game should be on. But instead it is some stupid show. It is not on Fox Sports SW or ESPN or any other channel either. What gives?

Those of you not able to watch, here's an update:

Bottom of first: Sammy hits a HR and takes a US Flag from first base coach and proceeds to round the bases with the flag waving in the wind. AWESOME SIGHT Watch for highlights of this on sportscenter.

Top of 2nd: bases loaded, Shane Reynolds base hit scores 2.

    Astros-2
    Cubs-1
