As you know the Rockets are limitted in cap room. We all know that there will be some changes in the near future for this team. There are many FA this year and the Rockets can only watch them be signed by other teams. However, it seems as though the Rockets are leaning towards moving up in the draft and to sign a free agent and the rest is going to be by sign and trade. The Rockets are complete in the back court ... Moochie will be the back-up gaurd and Drew is the odd man out (could be to Toronto). What are the positions the Rockets need ... SF, C, PF. The reason I say Center is that the Rockets might be leaning into trading Cato if they can get a deal made. Cato will be more likely traded if Hakeem does remain and play his final year of his contract. Who needs a C badly .... the Bucks. As you probably already know, Robinson could be traded for a defensive stopper (Cato?) since the Bucks want to sign Tim Thomas (that's why they'll trade Robinson). Also a player to keep an eye on is Shareef. It seems he is unhappy with the recent personel moves and could ask to be traded. This even increases the chances of the Rockets trying to work out a trade with Vancouver (the Rockets would like to work out a trade with them if possible to move up in the draft .... that package could include Shareef ....) And finally Lewis might leave Seattle for more $$$. Or is he saying that he would like to play in Houston?? ------------------ BLESSED ARE THE LOSERS FOR THEY DETERMINE THE WINNERS [This message has been edited by SOURCE (edited May 09, 2000).]
This is redundant with other threads. Please don't create completely unnecessary ones. Also, you might want to consider narrowing your topic a bit. It's hard to respond to a post that describes so many moves, with any kind of coherent, inclusive, detailed analysis. ------------------
