Been out of town for a few months, and damn has everything changed around here! Where is pops?

Can we give GS some incentives (future draft picks, etc...) to back off their match, similar to what happen to the Orlando draft pick situation this summer. Jackson wont be officialy with them until he passes his physical. So does anybody think that CD is trying to give some incentives to bring Mark to Houston? CRISPEE, this should be a good question for you.

THE CAT, I apologive to you about T. Morris. He is looking real great in the preseason. But, I think you are wrong about Collier. He looks like a big slug out there. Maybe he is just rusty, but Ike looks like he might have better potential than Collier.

    Good to be back.

Heypartner just got married, so I don't think we'll be hearing from him for a while.

I think I read somewhere that the rule prevent that. That is what the Rockets supposedly tried to do before signing the offer sheet.

Well if you could not give up future draft picks, I wonder if you made a mismatch trade for the incentive.

For example: Walt Williams to GS for somebody GS would like to move, or does not need. I think I read somewhere that the were interested in obtaining Walts contract, since it is coming off the books next season.

    Barbourdg,
the CBA is pretty explicit that GS cannot be compensated in any way for not exercising their ROFR with Jackson. I think a trade as you've suggested may have been possible if it'd been arranged before we made the offer, but now, it seems that any transaction we were to make with GS would be jumped all over by Stern and co.
As you may have noticed in other threads, GS is not allowed to trade Jackson for 90 days, and to us for a year. Jackson's pretty much out of the picture as far as the Rockets are concenred.
