It's obvious Yao is done... Brad Miller might be a quick fix but we will need a center for the future.

Instead of trying to draft a guy and then waiting several years for him to develop, how about trading for a versatile PF/C- like player such as... KEVIN LOVE?

This is a guy who has pretty good passing ability as a Center, has a pretty good work ethic and is in a terrible situation at Minnesota.

I think we could offer Minnesota a first round pick (from NY), a second round pick, Courtney Lee, Jeffries and maybe some cash in exchange for Love and and Brewer.

Sure, we are giving away more but we are getting a possible Center for the future and we would be getting rid of that scrub Jeffries.

    discuss.

 Can we at least get to mid-season to stick a fork in Yao?

Love's a beast but isn't he a younger version of Scola?

Yao is a HUGE risk but he isn't done IMHO. Dude is averaging almost 13 and 7 in 21 minutes, per 36 that is 22 and 12...I'd expect something in the middle when he gets up to 30 minutes.

Playing only 24 minutes a game won't take us far in the playoffs.

His minutes will be extended especially in playoff.
Even if there is no extension of minutes, does mean he is done.

    Brooks, Martin, Scola, and Love.

Are we trying to construct the worst possible defensive lineup imaginable?

Done as an effective starter, yes. He's a valuable contributor but we need a guy who can play at least 33+ minutes a game, a guy who can take the beating in the playoffs.

You can't just count Yao out. It's only been 6 games. Around January, they will reevaluate Yao's minutes. Just wait lol

A starting line up this would be pretty good for Adelman's Offense..
    PG- Lowry
    SG- Martin
    SF- Battier
    PF- Scola
    C- Love

    Off the bench
    Aaron, Yao, Budinger, Miller
