Wednesday, August 17th, 2005 United States vs. Trinidad & Tobago @ Hartford, CT, U.S.A. TV: ESPN2 19:00 CST, replay 23:30 CST on Telemundo Mexico vs. Costa Rica @ Mexico City, MEXICO TV: Telemundo 20:30 cst Are you ready for some FutbooOoool??? Last time they met, the U.S. had a tough 2-1 win at Trinidad behind Eddie Johnson and Mexico beat Costa Rica in San Jose 2-1. God forbid they have a U.S. game on ESPN, as their schedules are so "tight" and qualifiers aren't scheduled until later. I just HATE that they don't show the U.S. games on REGULAR TV and I have to wait until Telemundo replays it. (only because I don't have CABLE )
It's not on regular ESPN Wednesday because that conflicts with ESPNs contract with Major League Baseball (plus it's an Astros - Cubs game). Hard to get out of those pesky contracts.
Mexico 1- CostaRica- 1???????? In mexico city????? are u serious???? thats one of the toughest places to win against the home team worldwide in soccer. Mexico 2- CR-0
BUCK. I hate you, man. I am with you, dude, but I think he's referring to this: CONCACAF spotlight on Mexico-Costa Rica clash With a fierce rivalry stretching back to 1935 , neither side will be pulling any punches. The Ticos will no doubt be bolstered by their historic victory at the same Azteca stadium back in 2001, but it was Mexico that most recently rubbed salt in the wounds with a similarly momentous win - a first for El Tri on Costa Rican soil - at the Saprissa stadium in San Jose in February. The United States better watch out. It will be hard to win against Trinidad & Tobago... they're two teams! Almost allowed a last minute goal their first match.
Trinidat and tobago will win, they have a dutch coach Yorke wil score 2 goals Usa will win 2-0 mexico 3-1
USA 3 - T&T 0 MEX 2 - CR 0 I'm not sure what that means for the standings, but that has to all but clinch it for both USA and Mexico. I think their game next month will be essentially meaningless (and I will be able to get rid of this stupid sig )
Actually i think Yorkse prime was with Aston Villa. i used to be a aston villa fan and at that time Yorke was there striker. He was great. However even though is is pretty old, he is still by far the best player for their national team
I say U.S.A. ties 2-2, Mexico wins 2-1 Trinidad's Leo Beenhakker was CD América (MEXICO)'s futbol coach before going over to Europe. He lead America to playoffs but never hoisted the Mexican league trophy behind African sensations Biyik and Kalusha. Yorke ALWAYS gives MEXICO fits, I don't remember if he even played in the first match against U.S., or maybe he was double-teamed on defense... ? leroy420, I read in the Chronicle that with a win against Trinidad, the EE.UU. can finish no worse than fourth. I am willing to bet they will LOSE one of the remainder games...
ok slightly of topic, but i know SJC reads this: You were pretty lucky, The dutch team played very good, however it is anoying that they cannot defend a lead. i was not impressed with the german team. Robben is realy an amazing player, he is just unbelievable. Ballack was also pretty good. Makaay played poorly. what was your view of this game?
I was just about to give this a nice BUMP, but you did already, arno_ed. Good luck to LEO BEENHAKKER! Make sure to click "click" for more pictures... T&T getting ready in Connecticut...
no Problem how many teams qualify of these teams?(so basically what i want to know how good does Leo has to do to qualify?)
The top 3 automatically qualify for Germany and the 4th place team plays an Asian team in a playoff for another spot.
