I'm looking to buy new furniture and I found out recently that furniture stores will actually come down on their prices (wish I knew this before!). So, how can I legitimately expect to haggle down?

I can often get 8% on plastic or around 10% if paying cash, but gallery is the hardest to negotiate with IMO.. Good luck..

I plan on going to Roomstore, Rooms to Go, and a couple of others too. I would try Ethan Allen, but I hear they are really overpriced.

I got a GREAT love seat for my office at Ethan Allen for $100 bucks. It was in their damaged furniture area. It had a real small kool aid type stain on it. I forget what they were asking, but I was there and had just bought a full sized couch. I told the manager to let me know when the price comes down on the love seat. He asked how much I wanted to give for it, I said 100 and it was mine.

Try "K Furniture" near Almeda mall. They have high quality products at amazing prices (and you can haggle those prices even further).

JackFruit, i had my best luck negotiating at Fingers. Works well especially when you get more than 1 item.

I'm thinking Fingers is one of those stores that can negotiate down with no problem if they have to because their prices are so jacked up. lol.
