And they ask why we don't take the sport seriously here in the US. They flop so much, they make D Fish look like a saint.
To be fair, we have one player who's just as worse as they are. Kirilenko. The only thing is, we have only one of him here... they have plenty.
Not to sound xenophobic, but you notice that all of the aforementioned players (including AK) came from the Euro leagues?
I like the double fall on the head butts but was the deal with the coach and player falling down on the sidelines?
I thought about them, but Kirilenko is in a whole new stratosphere. Soccer dives are more dramatic and cheaper than NBA flops, but I wouldn't put it past Kirilenko to take a massive "head shot" dive and start grabbing his legs as he rolls on the floor.
LOL you could add Paul Pierce to that list. One minute that fool looks dead and the next minute he comes out like Rocky.
Forgot defense, how about offensive basket players throwing out their hands and hit floor when they're barely touched? Agreed. Yes, there are some floppers in the NBA (and, as I've pointed out, most seem to come from Euro roots, so one could argue that this isn't so much an NBA problem), but EVERY SINGLE PLAYER in the World Cup was a flopper. The slightest brush causes them to fall to the ground, writhing in "agony". And then, one second later, they're back on their feet and running full speed. As a viewer, I find it insulting to the game and the fans. That's not soccer: it's really just cheating. Put it this way: it's so prevalent in soccer that they even reference it in their advertising. By comparison, I don't remember any ads for the NBA that have included references to players flopping.
