Who are some people that everyone besides you considers funny? Stick to the rules of the thread. ;) Remember, they have to be people or shows that other people think are funny. No one obvious like Rosie O Donnell or Jay Leno...

    Howard Stern
    Greg Kilborn

dude, you and i should seriously hang out and watch tv together.

i agree with everything you just said...with the exception that the first season of Friends was brilliant and I think Craig Kilborn has a Lettermanesque humor that i enjoy.

but i'm totally lost as to the popularity of howard stern and kimmell in particular

Gilbert Gottfried. Being annoying is not funny.

I didn't know anybody thought Ellen Degenerese was funny in the first place...

I always thought Seinfeld was pretty overrated (ducks underneath flying debris)...I've only seen a couple of episodes that were funny. Seinfeld himself is pretty funny in his stand up act, though.

I'll agree with you on Austin Powers, but Meet the Parents? That movie was classic...

Agree with Howard Stern, Jimmy Kimmel and Futurama. I never understood the appeal of Futurama at all.

Oh yeah, forgot about those VH1 "I Love the (INSERT DECADE HERE)" circle-jerks where they get a bunch of D-List celebrities together to take their clever little jabs at **** they were more than likely doing themselves.

The jokes people try to make on Hollywood Squares also comes to mind...

And memo to commercials: the elderly participating in any extreme sports and/or other aggressive behavior was never funny.

Sorry, just had to vent. :)

    Bite your tounge!

I thought his musical numbers were pretty lame but those fast motion silent films that he always ended the show with were priceless! Especially the way he was always patting that old man (complete with sound effects) on the head and kicking him in the ass.

Too many to mention, but for the most part any shows or personalities that use "low brow" humor. A little of that stuff goes a LOOOOONNNNGGG way.

lot of good mentions in here.

Only one I have to add at the moment is Eddie Griffin.

    He blows.

Tommy Davidson told me that if you take off Eddie Griffins hat you'll find a Richard Pryor album playing under it. What a hack.
