How about the time Barkley took out his mouthpiece and cleaned it with the bottom of his shoe and sticking it back in?(I think i remember something like that)

I also enjoy when the microphones pick up the players cussing.

    Just too funny.

Iknow Iknow, Im easy too amuse. Now if only one of the mics would pick up someone farting ... that would be hilarious.

yah, that is funny when it happens. I think Charles has been caught the most. Charles is the worst person to have a close-up of when he's being heckled by fans or at the free-throw line...don't let children read his lips [IMG]

I thought Walt missing those dunks and layups last night was pretty hilarious. Wizard, take your time. You'll get yours.

The one moment that sticks out in my mind is CB4 (of course) going for a loose ball and winding up in the cheap seats. There happened to be an empty chair between these two good-looking women, and Charles sat down, draped his arms around them and started chatting. I think the Rockets got hit with a delay of game, but it was still funny to watch.

I'm not to sure many of you would have been able to remember this, much less seen it, but it was especially hilarious to me.

It was game 1 of the NBA finals when the Rockets faced the the Magic in Orlando. During that time Sam Cassel was in his usual character on the bench. Then Kenny Smith caught fire and started nailing threepointers from all over the court, which forced Orlando to call a quick timeout. Then Cassell being the furtherst thing from dispirited leaped from the bench and started like a maniac toward Kenny Smith but his feet were thinking instead of that marvelous martian brain of his and he managed to rumble, bumble, and stumble head , then heels, over the ball boy - landing fortunately on that most massive cranium of his - which may of very well saved his life, and he did this all to the utter amazment of Mario Elie who watched it all unfold along with Pete Chilcutt. Sam was the man, man. He-Haw!

You would of just had too seen it at the certain time to understand, but if anybody has the tape of game 1 between the Rockets and Magic watch the Rockets bench up in the left part of your screen during Kenny Smith's hot streak.

I thought it was funny when Dream came back from his operation and got trapped in the new starters ritual at the end of the intro's. They do their merry go around hip hop thing now. I told my wife that Dream will never do that when he comes back. They had to trap him in the circle to get him to participate. He and Rudy both laughed about it.

i remember in the beginning of one game... Walt and Shandon were holding the back of his warm-up so tight just so he wouldn't leave and while they're all jumpin' around... Hakeem is smilin' and all you hear is, "YEAH DREAM!!!" [IMG]

I thought game 1 of the '95 finals was funny when Anderson completely choked and missed four straight free throws to lose the game. And then Kenny Smith made Hardaway look stupid with a fake at the arc before burying the dagger. Ok, so I find it funny in a kind of malicious way, but it's ok to laugh at Anderson's misses now because he has since broken out of the several-year slump that choking left him in. And it is ok to laugh at Penny.

This didn't happen during a game, but I remember after we won the 2nd championship, and Hakeem was in one of those post game press conferences, and Sam Cassell started running at full speed towards him, jumped right on him and just knocked him to the floor! I laughed so hard my eyes were getting watery!Yes, Hakeem was laughing also.

Stupid me, I should have been taping all those championship games. I could watch them everyday.

It was also pretty funny during the final game of last season when Charles stepped on that annoying Nuggets mascot's face. I liked that.

it was at a game many years ago and kevin "bubba" kunnert was on the court....he was simply walking down towards the basket and fell down...nobody was near him...it may not sound funny, but it was hilarious if you happened to see it...

I don't remember what team they were playing but they were lining up for free throws and CB4 gives the guy next to him a Wet Willy. It was the funniest thing I have seen, ever.

First let me say that this is a great thread. Maybe I can add a little something to it. I have a satellite dish (C band) and up til a couple of years ago, I got to watch most of the Rockets games on wild feeds. With wild feeds, the cameras stay on when you normally see a commercial on local t.v. Bill and Calvin were always saying stuff that was funny during those times. One time they were doing their pre-game show out on the floor with the teams warming up. I can't remember if this happened during what would have been a commercial, but a stray ball caught Worrell in the back of the head. He let out with a "damnnnnn!". Calvin started cracking up. It must have smarted, because Worrell didn't see any humor in it and started in on Calvin about "you didn't even tell me it was coming", and Calvin was laughing and saying "no, I didn't see it, really." Then, later on during the game, Worrell brought it up again and was needling Calvin about not covering his back.

Oh yeah, I remember the Wet Willy thing. It was the game before Charles got hurt this year at home against Vancouver. He was talking to Othella the whole game (you know how Charles is) and when they lined up to shoot free throws Chuck just gave Othella a huge Wet Willy. Othella was pissed, but the other players loved it. It was hilarious.

One funny moments I remember didnt happen in the game it happened before it. Anyways it was that thing that is kind of stupid but at the time I thought it was funny. I was at a Rockets game in Charlotte I was like 12 and there were a bunch of kids younger then me around me and we were all trying to get autographs of the players when they came out. Calvin Murphy comes out and I brought one of his cards along b/c I remembered that he did the TV so when I saw him I called him over to get an autoghraph and he came over signed my card and then said hi to the usher and then walked away. After he left some of the kids said to the usher who was he and the usher told them that he was Calvin Murphy and one of the greatest players in Rockets history and then the other kids started calling to Calvin to get him to come over and sign something for them. I know it sounds stupid but I thought it was funny. Hey I was only 12 at the time.

not surprising that the Chuckster is part of a lot of these moments, here's another one that used to make me laugh... During the few times we played the Bulls, whenever MJ and CB would walk by each other... Charles would always bump into or elbow MJ and the two would just keep going at it during the game even though they're good friends.

ps. Othella must've been pissed, but he knows better 'cause he saw what Charles did to Shaq [IMG]

The funniest moment for me had to be when Ralph Sampson hit that crazy shot to beat the Lakers in '86. Just thinking about the looks on the Lakers faces, Magic, Jabbar and Worthy. And listening to Gene Peterson and Jim Foley screaming there heads off. How Sweet That Was!!!!!!!!!
