I was at a bar with some buddies and one of my friends was telling me that this guy was dogging him for playing DIII ball in college since he had played in the NBA. So naturally, I wanted to talk to him and see who he played for, when, etc. To my surprise he said he played for the Houston Rockets... I was like no way?!?!? I doubt this guy knew he was talking to an obssessed Rockets fan... read on. He said he played for them in '97. I was trying to figure out who was on the squad that year so I casually asked, "who started that year?" I got no response, then it hit me...If he had been on the Rox that year he would have played with Dream, Clyde, and Chuck... funny how those hall of famer's names are so hard to forget when you played with them. He also couldn't tell me who the GM, coach, trainer, or name of the arena was. Turns out this guy was a fake and has made a habit of going around bars telling people these stories... the head bartender even vouched for this guy saying she had met his agent one night there. He openly ommitted to lying about it later that night. What a joke, his wife was there and everything. No need to worry, we gave this guy a ton of s&%t. Complete faker... Anyways, thought I would share....
