Best year so far... I cannot wait for this one. Les Savy Fav, The Jesus Lizard, Yeahsayer, Broadcast? Mission of Burma, 7 Seconds, Flipper? For real, though...
Man, this lineup gets better and better every year. These acts are solid: Ratatat Yeasayer Crystal Castles Atlas Sound Dead Confederate Neon Indian/Vega King Khan Shearwater Comedy: Toddy Barry, Hannibal Burress
The Jesus Lizard alone is going to kill. Add Atlas Sound, Yeasayer, Strange Boys, Les Savy Fav, Broadcast, Times New Viking, and Young Widows... man, this is going to be fun. Brian Posehn, too. Going to be a good month.
I saw Crystal Castles at Coachella this year and I was really excited to check them out live for the 1st time. I would never wish that experience on my worst enemy. It was awful.
I sincerely hope you're joking. Please, Moe. Tell me. You're joking... right? Anyways, I got my tickets. $70 for a two-day pass. Win.
(d'oh! never saw this thread) yea, $70 for two days is an absolute steal. Who are you most looking forward to seeing?
Quite a few acts I'd definitely be interested in seeing, but I'm really looking forward to the following: Les Savy Fav Yeasayer Mission of Burma Broadcast Atlas Sound Jesus Lizard Mika Miko What about you? On a side note, any Pavement fans out there? If you haven't heard, they're planning a reunion and are scheduled to play next year in NYC. Better start saving up for that!
Oh most definitely, can't believe I overlooked them. I missed them at Walters a few months back. Not happening again.
by far, I am most looking forward to seeing This Will Destroy You again. Their music can seem melancholy and dreary when heard on your ipod or pc, but when you hear them play live....it's so freakin intense. It's an experience. The first time I saw them play live, literally...the hair on my neck was raised. I met Chris King and Jeremy Galindo @ Mohawk's in Austin earlier this year...what a treat that was. Chris King even gave me tips on how to play with an e-bow. other than that, Red Sparowes for sure, Ratatat, Lucero, Gorilla Biscuits, Russian Circles, Flipper, and Vega. I'm gonna check out the guys you listed as well as some others and see if there are some other artists that catch my fancy. cheers.
was going to say the same thing i saw them in austin still like there music and still would take little alice glass on a date but they SUCKED
