Was pretty deep into Poker and played online since bein like 12, played on cash-tables at fulltilt and pokerstars but never tried the XBL-version. How good is the competition, are there tournaments wit +1k people every hour?
Well for one thing, its not real money And for two, you can of course play against the computer, up to 10 people per table and up to 3 tables, or you can go on xbox live and play against up to 30 people. Every Tuesday and Saturday they have Texas Heat, which is a live event that usually over 4400 people play. Pretty fun, its definitely a change of scenery from the shooting games.
What ever happend to predictability? The milk man, the paper boy, evening T.V You miss your old familar friends, but waiting just around the bend. Everywhere you look (everywhere) There's a heart (there's a heart) A hand to hold on to. Everywhere you look (everywhere) There's a face of somebody who needs you. When you're lost out there and your all alone A light is waiting to carry you home Everywhere you look.
How does anyone have the patience to wait for 29 other people to bust? 10 at the most is a very long game in itself... Of course... these are Xbox Live players, not poker stars.
The best part of Poker are these tournaments with more than 1000 players, it's the best opportunity to succeed with real tactics over hours. I remember the tournaments with above 2000 peepz as some of the best moments I had playing Poker. Remember one tournament with around 1.3k people where I didn't have more than 3 or 4 good hands from start to finish, yet I ended up as 13th just by playing an aggressive style with a lot of feints and bluffs, playing with the minds of my opponents. Tournaments are the biggest thrill in Poker, along with Heads Up.
Hah. Poker just isn't my thing. I enjoy playing once in a while with friends. But as far as day long tournaments go. Nope.
