Luis Gonzales said in an interview with Fox Sports after the game that Houston was on the list of teams he would sign with as a free agent.

Not exactly the cure-all for our offensive problems

Too bad this wasn't last year... we could have done without a year of Preston Wilson.

I'd like to see what Pence can do at the MLB level, before he spends a lifetime in the minors, and we build him up to be something that he may never be (like Jason Lane).

Man...I was gonna post this....I agree, if he gets back on roids and starts to hit 40 + HR's like he use to then why not.. Remember when he was an Astro and he weighed like 75 pds and then he went to Arizona and blew up to like 250 pds and started bombing HR's like crazy ? STEROIDS !!!! :D

Luis never gained alot of weight ala Bagwell etc. I rememeber him laughing at rumors that he took steriods a few years ago saying "look at me, I'm skinny." Gonzalez is more a proof of the live ball era than anything else.

Its known to increase bat speed like crazy....57 HRs that year. 31 is second highest total....under 30 every other year except the 2 i just mentioned...he was cool with Caminiti....seems pretty obvious to me

Ausmus and Everett are the only clean players in baseball.

Remember the offenisve line OF we had back in day? Hidalgo(fat ass), Berkman(fat ass) and Daryl Ward(fat ass). I think it was in 02 all three were in the OF. I remeber Kruk saying Houston OF's were definitley not being suspected of steroids.

Can you san Brady Anderson? 50 HR in '96. Next highest total was 24.

I'll pass on Gonzo. He'll be 39 in September.

gonzales didn't bulk up? are you kidding me, he got ripped like crazy as a diamondback. it's possible that he didn't do roids but i find that extremely doubtful. imo his usage is every bit as obvious as barry bonds.

    nice guy though. :)

That would be cool if Gonzo came back. It's just I feel like we have more players than we know what to do with right now. Overstaffed, if that's possible.

I think Finley and Bagwell were juiced too. Finley couldn't hit more than 12 homers here and went to San Diego and hit 40.
