Tonight's game is being broadcast in high definition on FSNHD. Is this the Rockets' New Year gift to us? AFAIK there haven't been any HD games from the Toyota Center this year on FSN. Hopefully this is a permanent change.
i wish i had HD. i cant complain though, in austin where i normally live i cant even watch the games, so ill take what i can get it when im in houston
This is the best thing ever.....Standard definition w fsn on twcable is unbearable on a bigscreen.....Hopefully they have more games in hd...
???? FSNHD = HD channel. i think FSN is going to do a lot more stuff in HD this year. maybe new budget?
Yeah this was sort of a surprise when I switched channels to check out the Spurs game. I always wondered why they just couldn't send the high def feed to FSN if they do it to feed the high def screens in the Toyota Center. But now they are. The picture quality wasn't nearly as good as ABC HD or ESPNHD, there was a lot of pixelation and artifacts...but overall pretty nice. I wont complain too much because its a lot better than regular FSN. Kudos to whoever got this going.
I too, thought I was just going to check the Spurs score, then was like Hell Yeah!!!! Love my Rockets in HD.

I heard before the season that they wouldn't roll out HD until next season with 10-15 games. The reality is they just don't have the feeds and gear necessary to pull it off every game. We're still a few years away from that point for every team in the league.
