According to KFFL, Steeler FS Chris Hope was in town today. I think he'd look good at FS for us with either CC Brown or Glen Earl at SS.

they've spent quite a few bucks in free agency already, I wonder how much do they have under the cap? I'm not sure if FS is a priority compared to other needs.

Unless it's something they don't think they could address in the draft.

Mr. McNair has said recently that he won't mind going a little above the cap.

I'll pass. I think Brown will be even better next year and will more than earn his paycheck. We need a CB, but good ones are rare in free agency, unless you pull out the wallet.

Why is it that we cant afford David Givens due to a few mediocre free agent signings but the Redskins somehow are able to come away with Adam Archuletta, Andre Carter, Randle El and Brandon Lloyd despite us having more cap room than the Redskins prior to the Free-Agency period begining?

This team has found a way to make me care less and less about them each year.

We could afford David Givens, but we didn't think he was worth the price he was asking. We made an offer, he refused, and took a better one.

BTW, Brandon Lloyd was acquired via trade, not free agency.

His '06 salary still counts against their cap.

But the pick's salary won't count, therefore it is probably balanced out.

I hope the Texans can sign at least one noteworthy freeagent, if not they better have a hell of a draft.

I could care less about the signings and the draft. I hope the Texans will have a winning record next year.

To have a winning record it helps to have impact players, which I hope the Texans can either sign or draft.

    ;)

WR Givens, LB Thornton, OL Mawae, and S Hope.

Peter Sirmon (LB likely replaced by Thornton) has asked for his release which would free up another $2.4 Million on the cap. Want him?

    Andre, Reggie, Davis, Putzier, Armstrong/Gaffney

PLEASE get Putzier...or ANY TE that can run a route and catch.

Baseball season needs to start so I can distract myself from the Texans/Rockets for a while

Wow ............... There's such a thing as true Texans fans? This organization over the first four years has managed to make terrible decisions on top even worse decisions. From Bob McNair on down, the organization has shown mismanagement, resulting in, garbage in, garbage out.

The first 3 years of the franchise they were consistently getting better. Last year was a coaching and GM spawned debacle. Oh well. I guess I don't jump off the bandwagon so easily.

You should stop watching and posting about the Texans because they sicken you with all their terribleness. I suggest only rooting for teams that are guaranteed to win - or at least guaranteed to go to the playoffs. You could also give up your soul and be a Cowboys fan..... and then go for the trifecta of idiotic fandom and follow the Braves and Cubs too.
