EG is a liability - looks like a lost puppy out there at times...... Kid has a LONG way to go...... (You should have taken that trade CD!!!). I know he is only 20 and all, but the dude needs to: 1. Hit the WEIGHTS. 2. Get MEAN and start playing physical on both ends. 3. Quit taking all of those damn 3's 4. Put some freaking ARCH on the ball. 5. Show some EMOTION or something every once in a while.... Im not giving up on him just yet, but dude needs to get better quick, or we are in serious trouble at the 4. Oh and someone please sign John Barry for next season PLEASE!
I know Rox will regret soon that they did not trade him away when EG is proven to be worthless next season and no other team is interested in him.
I think the hope is that he continues to suck for another season, Rockets resign him cheap, and then he explodes into a superstar. Hmm.
Remember during the summer when everyone said lets try to sign Rashard Lewis but dont ever give up Eddie. Imagine if we had PG- Francis SG- Mobley C- Yao SF- Lewis PF - Mo Taylor/Kenny Thomas
when u told a guy the same thing 10 times and he still makes the same freaking mistake the 11th time u know there is a problem.
You guys have no idea if he is good or not. Some ppl take longer to get used to the NBA. He is only 20 years old. He may be good or not. We will know when he is about 23 yrs old. You can say it doesnt take that long. But it does, so just wait.
He won't become a superstar in the same breath of Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett (they performed better at 18 and kept improving every year), I am pretty certain to say this.
Like a Dawoo - should have traded this one in while the miles were low. Now - the more you drive it - the more the value declines. Most of you speak of potential - what potential does EG have that Jason Collier doesn't have? Besides the uniforms, coach and video team, they need to replace the scouts. Their percentage of good picks are pathetic - unless you give them the #1.
Personally, I have given up on Eddie. In fact, his play has declined since last season. Its time to send him back to college to learn how to shoot.
Well, the only thing I've given up on about Griffin is him starting this year. I think Rudy is afraid of taking him out of the starting lineup for fear of ruining his confidence, but I think his starting is doing even more damage to what little confidence he has. Griffin never was ready to start this season, and now he's pressing. He's shooting it everytime he gets the ball, and with every miss his head seems to drop lower and lower. As a result, he's not blocking shots or defending like he can, which just compounds the problem. I still think Eddie's going to be a stud in a few more seasons, but he's obviously drowning out there right now. Its time to pull him in.
If you send Eddie back to learn how to shoot, you'd have to send Cuttino, too. Eddie is hitting a higher % of 3-pnt this year than Cuttino. Why is everyone down on the kid? How about some realistic expectations?
