    He can't shoot.
    He can't drive.
    He can't dribble.
    He can't pass.
    He can't defend.

The only time I think Rudy should play him is when we wanna run down the clock. Why the hell he gets so many mpg??? Who can tell me?

Moochie gives us a point guard backup that doesn't mind dishing the ball. He does a pretty good job of getting Ming the ball and he CAN hit an open shot and drive.

I hate thread starters who use hate with our players. Displeased with his play? Fine, but I'd bet he doesn't "hate" you just because you are a jackhole of a poster? Be constructive, PLEASE!

Wow, I would have never guessed that you would have turned out to be a smart ass too.

Looks like another newbie needs his ass handed to him.

And yet at this stage, he's better than Tito Maddox, our only other point guard. Hey, Stevie can't play 48 minutes every night.

Norris is not so bad! He had a good steal today. And he passed the ball well. I like him because he is not a selfish player.

Possibly:- Rudy is giving him exposure, prior to a trade. Or is this wishfull thinking?

For his career, Moo is a 41% shooter. Francis is @ 43% and Mobley is at 43%. So I would say his shooting isnt that far off from the starters.

Also, Moo might be one of the top 2 or 3 clutch shooters on this team.

Actually, Moo at times is very adept at getting by his man and getting into the lane. The problem is, Moo, like Francis, makes bad decisions from time to time once he gets into the lane.

    lmao

This is too funny. Dribbling is Moochie's forte!!! In fact, hes so good at, he does it way too much! Thats why the fans are always on his hinney about it!

Actually, now that KT is gone, Moo is probably the best passer on this team not named Yao. When Moo has the desire to, he can set-up his teamates for scores quite efficiently, much more so than Francis does.

While its not saying much, hes a much better on the ball defender than Francis is. Ive noticed lately that Moochie is pretty decent at getting his butt down near the ground, spreading his legs and extending his arms as to prevent his man from getting around him easiily.

20 mins per game for the primary backcourt backup is not alot of mins. Mobley and Francis should play, around 38 mins per game. That leaves 20 mins for the backup. I feel Moo's mins are about right pending the arrivle of Posey.

Overall, Moo is not a bad backup. His problem is consistency. Its hard to bark at him for his defficiencies when the two starters in our backcourt have the same problem that he does.

Moochie is wonderful because of his hair and his enthusiasm. He is the only point guard that looks to pass first than to shoot. He can take someone one on one but he usually passes. He does make a lot of turnovers sometimes, and he was cut by about 3 teams before making the Rockets. WOW...1 steal. Joaquin Hawkins had 1 steal in 2 minutes.

I wouldn't say he's better than Tito Maddox. We have barely seen Tito play.

But Moochie makes clutch shots all the time. He always (most of the time) hits the last second shots.

And Moochie was probably the only one that was crazy about Yao first. He was probably the only one who passed to Yao in the beginning of the season. He has made some nice plays with Yao. He and Yao are pretty good friends.

Moochie is staying. The Rockets barely ever make trades. They are a happy organization. That's why Rudy has been with us FOREVER.

    yawn.

Everybody can't be a star...he's a good role player that plays hard. What more you want?

Mooch is a solid backup PG that passes 1st and only shoots if he is open. Perfect. His label as the little dribbler really hasn't reared it head this season. Mooch adds heart to this team and is clutch.

Mooch has a great team attitude and I love the guy for it... but it can be frustrating watching him lose handles or try to pull Franchise type drives to the hoop when there are 2-3 bigger guys all within swatting reach.

He's there to spot SF when Steve needs a break or when Stevie is getting a little outta control. That's his role. And to that end he does it decently. Anything other than that, like being asked to be a real full-time point guard, is probably asking a little too much.

Love his 'do though. Cracks me up.

    :D

moochies had a bad season. Hes had some pretty decent games lately. People expect to much out of him. After watching Franchise come out and Moochie come in, people expect theyre to be no let down. Thats impossible thats why hes a backup, hes a very good back up hes proved it in previous seasons give him time hes not going anywhere

before the season I was looking over a magazine in which they rated the top 50 players at each position. Moochie was ranked 26th in a league with 28 teams. Meaning, alot of people think he's better than a few starting point guards out there. Not bad for a back up at all I'd say.

But other than that I've nothing further to contribute to this thread, I'm just going to agree with everything Codell said.

Yea, like that will ever happen again. You should know that Rice has a career average of 84.6% from the charity line before you starting b****ing about him.
