The Rockets already have one of the best shooters of all time on the bench. You have obviously missed the bus when it comes to Novak. He's the next Peja you know?!!!

ok, after i read the artical twice, i found that it's the fans and the media in orlando who proposed the trade.

they got battier for 1 on 1 defense to shut down the player like rip. they can also use a good defense forward to play against eastern teams like miami.

although turkoglu played well this season, his salary is only around 6.5 million. redick cannot get along with the coach. that's why the trade is possible

Wouldn't be the first time, wouldn't be the last, and wouldn't be surprised.

Hedo has one good year and you guys are ready to to slurp him ey. I liked Reddick the first time when his name was Luther Head. Give me defense. Hedo would be a great addition but you know me. Not at the expense of Battier and Hayes, two of the top 35 defenders in basketball.

Yao was down and we win more games than the Magic who have the luxury of playing in the east. They have tons of offensive weapons. That tells me Battier is a huge factor. One day some of you guys will catch on. The best minds in basketball see it. It will just take y'all longer.

FYI, there are only 3 teams in the league whose names don't have an "s" at the end, and you were unlucky enough to add an "s" to one of them. Can anyone guess who the other two are?

hedo is probably their go-to perimeter guy. on this team, he would have zero pressure to perform b/c we would have 3 options before him even in tmac, yao and scola. and he played well under adelman before in sacramento. so yes, hedo would play well here.

hayes has to go. i'm sorry how great of a defender you are, but he doesn't dominate on that end enough for him to play 20-25 minutes.

battier is a guy you love to have. but if you have another guy who can create his own shot like hedo, who's not a bad defender himself and also 6-8, you have to do it.

    Jazz, Heat, Magic

Also, I don't think there are plans to move Mac to SG unless you bring in another perimeter player who can guard opposing 2 guards. The beauty of having Mac and Sugar Shane on the floor is that Shane will take the tougher defensive assignment. If you force Mac to do that, you're asking for Mac to expend even more energy and diminishing our perimeter defense.

So who guards Kobe now? You thought McGrady looked winded running the offense without Rafer against Utah, imagine him having to guard the oppositions best player to boot. I want Hedo too. We need a scorer, he would be a great closer. But Battier is huge. Absolutely huge. We could keep Battier and pursue a 3rd option at the deadline with BJ's contract. Would you rather have Turkoglu or Batter and a Maggette caliber player? It very well may be a possibility.

dude, do you know how well-rounded hedo is from watching him? tmac could play around 30-32 minutes now considering hedo can play a little bit.

battier stopped kobe. but who did he stop v. utah the past 2 years? kobe is hard to stop anyways. what we need is OFFENSIVE POWER.

look at bruce bowen. he's a great defender but looked hopeless against kobe. the reason the spurs lost was not b/c they couldn't stop kobe, but b/c THEY COULDN'T SCORE.

our defense will still be fine (our team defense is vastly underrated).

playing and doing everything on offense AND defense were what caused tmac to fatigue in the first 2 games v. utah. but now with hedo, who is also a creator, tmac wouldn't have to exert too much. and he can rest more like i said.

great teams nowadays are more balanced and potent offensively.

and no, we won't get maggette dude. he also had a great individual year last yr and won't come for cheap.

I don't think they have better scorers than the Rockets. Only Howard,Lewis and Hedo. Mo Evans, and Bogans aren't starter material,Dooling is an undersized 2 and JJ is a joke.Jameer hasn't been to pick things up when needed either. The Magic need an upgrade at the 2 and also pick up a defensive 4.Hayes could help them but I feel that they would be better off with a taller defensive player.
I'm not proposing a Hedo for Battier trade, but even Morey has admitted that the only player that we have who can create shots for himself and the team is Tracy McGrady. We need an all round player on both ends who can help Tracy and Battier. If Tracy goes down for a long period of time,Yao and the rest of the guys will struggle.I like Hayes' defense, and we need his help but if Scola and Landry hadn't done well,we would be stuck at the 4.

IF this was a real trade possibility I would say yes. As much as I love the Chuck Wagon getting Hedo would be pretty awesome and although JJ hasn't played in forever he can be effective if given the chance. They had something on him recently about how he was getting depressed about not playing and if he couldn't get a trade out of Orlando he may just leave basketball all together because he hurts so much not playing.
