So I was going to make a taco salad last night and went to the local target to get Fritos. There were none there... Saw a Food blogger friend in Arkansas post about the Frito shortage so I looked it up. Frito-Lay has stopped ALL Fritos production until further notice. Just another tragedy in this **** show. If you see 'em in the wild, I suggest you stock up.
Kidneys everywhere rejoyce at the news. Pretty sure you could preserve fish through the winter with a bag of Fritos. Moar salt!
My kid got a bag in his Halloween stash this year. Was going to throw it out but now will use it as currency Thanks.
Kroger You don’t go to the grocery store much, do you? There’s been availability issues with the Chili Cheese, but the OG is fine But, ofc, Kroger would always be last to lose supply on top brands
Translation: As per my usual Thursday night routine, I was drunk and hungry around 7:3ish because I hadn't had food since brunch with my lady friends at some pretentious Houston spot. I stumbled to the nearest store, which I thought was a Target but was really a Goodwill. I passed out in the back on a couch and when the manager woke me up at closing time I cursed at her for not having Fritos in the freezer. She's a little older but still looks good and saw me cover some country songs once at a bar. I have a date set up for next weekend, we may sleep together, it's already been discussed, I don't know, sometimes it happens, she's a good girl, kid and I have two other dates too. Pictures to come.
No... I love doing this recipe. It originated in California as a mainstay at Casa del Fritos. I guarantee a lot of y'all my age recall it.
I'm not doubting that, but as I wrote, I could have ordered some today from Target or our main grocery store -Publix- with no problem. I also bought a big bag at Buc-ee's in Fornay Texas last week. Have you tried actually going to a grocery store?
This was just last night, so no. I figured I would just do that so I bought the other necessary ingredients. And then I found out there is an actual Fritos shortage. Seriously, who walks into any store selling chips and thinks there won't be Fritos?
Sams Club is having cheese shortages. That’s dire. Have you ever tried to get past some of the customers there? It’s one way only when they are there. Bonus game: take a swig from your flask every time you see a calf tattooed.
You could scour family homes across America that buy the variety pack boxes at their local wholesale club and you know there are still Fritos left in those. They're always the last ones to be eaten.
