Ever have those friends who like to criticize you every way they can?But like to use you to get driven to places because, they are too lazy to learn how to drive and get a license. They act like your best friend for about a little bit of time then they just start making your life miserable? Well that is happening to me,I don't know what to do I need some help guys.

ps.This friend automatically assumes whatever I do and listen to music is "*****" and even if what he likes is bad he makes everybody around him treat it like a god.

    Ditch the friend...

...It's really not that hard. You need to choose friends that uplift you, not people who drag you down. If you put up with this garbage for the sake of friendship, then you're just setting yourself up to be used for a long, long time.

Thankfully I don't live with this "friend" plus we are guys..so I don't know what to say about kids comment. The thing is that I just can't ditch him he isn't just a "friend" somehow I'm his "best friend" and he has a lot of control of everybody even though he is a d-bag.

Dude, how much you wanna be this "friend" tells everyone and their aunt that they are his "best friend" when he needs something from him?

Tell him to go fly a kite. Be "busy" whenever he calls needing something. Become unavailable. Then if he's still your friend and quits using you, there might be something worth salvaging. If he drops you because you're of no use to him, then you're good to go!

I' pretty sure he is going to drop me pretty soon, whenever he's done using my xbox360 or eating/drinking everything I have he leaves and on IM he doesn't talk to me at all unless he makes me drive him to places or uses something from me.

I've known him since grade 4 and I'm 19, he started being like that since we graduated and I'm fed up with it while a little sad to lose someone I've known for such a long time.

    Sorry for your confusion
    but
It simply does not sound like the behavior of a 'friend'

    sounds like a user
    sounds like a jerk
sounds like someone who is your friend more out of convience, lack of other friends, and just knowing you

Sound AT BEST . . like an associate
one you should associate with as little as possible

    Rocket River
then again . . how old are ya'll . . maybe that has something to do with it
Teenagers can be jerks . ..even to their friends . .and not really know or mean anything by it

You know what to do. This guy probably cycles through every nice person he can find to see if he can use them and be "best friends" for a while. There are many, many better friends out there than that. Tell him no next time. It will p!ss him off but it's not like you were going to get anything decent out of this friendship anyway. Probably there are a lot of his other former "friends" out there with similar stories. Spend your time with someone better.

As the cliche goes, "with friends like that, who needs enemies?"
