Lebron and Kobe are better merely because they are able to win a game by themselves. Due to their strength and their ability to create their own shot, KB and LBJ just have the ability to win games alone.

Other than that, CP3 is as good as both players and is just as important to his team as Kobe and Lebron are to the Lakers and Cavs.

I thought this was would be a john mccain thread. =)

well my friends, i have to agree. He makes those around him better, like peja being wide open for 3s, and paul can score at will when he needs to.

Since I mentioned peja, I want to give a 3 finger salute to divac.

Chris Paul is a dirty annoying player who b!tches the whole time and pulls the dirtiest Stockton-like moves without being penalized for it.. The NBA has tried so hard, and succeeded, to make him a loved personality in the NBA. All the shows and interviews about him, all the pictures of him doing community service etc.. they don't see him playing defense pulling on the other player's jersey, or acting like he got shot whenever someone plays some good D on him..

dirty flopper, annoying as hell, he ain't even the top point guard in the league

Steve Nash, Tony Parker, Deron Williams >>>>>>> Chris "Flop" Paul

... You're out of your mind. Paul is hands down the best currently in the league and sky is the limit. Deron Williams is comparable but not quite there yet. You could argue that Kobe and LeBron are superior players, but fantasy wise, Paul is the unanimous #1 pick.

starting a franchise today. Who will you choose?

CP3, Wade, Lebron, Amare or Dwight?

I take Lebron or Dwight. Everyday.

CP3 gets a lot of help. I'll take Lebron over anyone.

Would you want your franchise to get torched every night?

Stoudemire is a great offensive player but i am convinced that his defense is the main reason the suns don't have a championship. In 2006, they played about as good without him as they do now with him.

I'll take CP3 over LeBron, KB etc any day.

Hell I might even take Calderon over anyone but those 3 mentioned above.

Pretty much. I'd say Wade is in the discussion for that no.2 or no.3 spot but yeah.

LeBron and CP3 are the top two followed by Kobe. CP3 has very good teammates around him while LeBron still has to carry the Cavs on his back. CP3 couldn't raise the Cavs to the level LeBron has, while if you gave David West, Peja & Tyson Chandler to LeBron, his team would win 70 games and go 16-1 in the playoffs. CP3 choked in game 7 against the Spurs while LeBron was off the charts in game 7 against the Celts.

If Wade is healthy, I'd also take him over CP3 because of the clutchness factor. People still don't seem to realize how good Wade is.

I'd rather have a string of MVP awards and championship rings than 6 straight 20 point/10 assist games.

He is simply an amazing player but I agree with RocketsMac, he can be a dirty player at times. Whenever some D's him up, he flails his arms and usually catches someone with an elbow and then has the most righteous look on his face... or an extremely pissed off "can't believe you didn't call that earlier" look.

Usually it's nothing more than standard NBA play, but sometimes he goes over the line. Still, he's a great player. He has a TON of help though. He needs to win titles or at least WCF now to justify himself I would think.

I hope he doesn't this year, that's our spot!!! :D

He's the best PG. I'd still take Kobe or Lebron first. And, i also think Calderon is overrated a bit. It's so hard to say who is the best because of the different positions.

I guess you must HATE having Ron Artest on the rockets then. Who can forget the great clip of him pulling down Paul Pierce's shorts to stop him from scoring?
