I have a feeling that Fresno will go into halftime with the lead, but USC will come roaring back in the second half and win 56-35 or so.
SO FAR/ Being the key words. USC has had the tendency to gain momentum as the game goes along and then finally breakthough at some point. Reggie Bush still looks great breaking tackles keeping his balance on this drive.
I don't follow college football, but does anyone think USC will wake up in the 2nd half and put up about 5 TD's?
I honestly think if they play UT and they pull this crap off, they might have a problem catching up to UT in the 2nd half. Hopefully they stay undefeated... that's one college game I wouldn't mind watching.
Completely agree. Although, Fresno State IS a very good offensive team. Looking forward to the second half, no doubt.
That's it! I'm calling USC's bluff and am going to bed. They have a maddening habit of getting UT fans hopes up, then crushing them with a 50-point 2nd half barrage.
USC has played pretty good. Fresno St. appears to be making plays. For example, that long pass down the sideline was on target, but the help got there and knocked it away just in the nick of time. They are playing with fire. It's only a question of can Fresno St. Keep playing at this level. they just have to keep USC off the field to win it.
well it was fun while it lasted. 5 minutes and they've already got 2 td's and control of the game. bush is gonna have crazy stats at the end of the game as he already has 198 yards with 25 minutes to go. hopefully he doesn't go back to the top of the heisman list. vince will need to play well against a&m.
and another TD about 7 seconds later in the pick 6 (although there may be a penalty). i guess bush will just run it in from wherever the penalty is.
and this color guy is awesome. he just says whatever. man we better not screw this up, i wanna face off with usc so bad just for the hype of the game.
Why would you want USC to lose? As an alumnus and HUGE fan, I want Texas to play USC if they make it to the Rose Bowl. If USC loses and UT makes it to the Rose Bowl and ends up playing LSU or Penn St. then everyone will say that Texas didn't play the best (Kind of like how people devalue the Rockets championships by saying they didn't beat the Bulls, even though the Rocks always handled them in the regular season during that strecth, thanks in large part to Vernon Maxwell). To be the best you have to beat the best and over the past 2+ seasons USC has proven themselves to be the best (BTW, if USC does go to the Rose Bowl it will not be a potential 3-peat, no matter what ESPN or SI says). I sincerely hope USC vs. UT happens. Let the two teams prove it on the field. Also, that last Reggie Bush run was sick. There goes the momentum....
This thread can die now. This gets me hyped as a UT alum to play USC. we have just as much resilency as they do. should be fun.
I pretty much just said this in the "Who Should the Texans draft at #1" thread over in the other forum.
