Kinda hard to describe it, but with sugar...it is almost like a dessert. It is good either hot or cold.

University- There is a resteraunt called "Classic Kitchen" on Bellaire that makes fresh soybean milk. Almost all Chinese supermarkets will have soybean milk in gallon/half gallon form, but I'm not sure if that is considered "fresh."

I've never tasted it, but girls often say that if you eat more pineapples, it's supposed to be better tasting than if you ate meat all the time.

Why is it called Soy milk? Wouldn't it really be soy juice?

My girlfriend and I did an experiment on this a few weeks ago (pineapples were on sale at Kroger), and according to her, it's true. :D

Personally I think it has more to do with whether you're circumcised or not.

I've been drinking soy milk for a couple of years now. I love the stuff. Goes down easier than milk. Dunno if it tastes any better, but I buy the "light" chocolate flavor. I just buy it from the grocery store.

There's two variation of "soy milk". One is the American kind like Silk or what not that you can get any normal grocery store. The other is the Asian kind, that you can be sweetened. I'm assuming the threadstarter is talking about the Asian kind. That stuff is yummy.

you should be able to get soy milk at grocery stores. i know Whole Foods and Central Market carry some.

Personally, I was looking for a milk alternative and tried soy milk for a while, but then tried rice milk, which I find to be much much better.

The freshest soybean milk I've found is a place called Tan Tan Tofu - it's on Wilcrest, just north of Bellaire. They make it themselves and actually sell it to area markets as well. Good luck!
