    Any tennis fans watching?

Just heard that Federer lost to Kuerten. I think Coria will take the title.

All the top seed are gone from the males side really. All the ones i would have cared to watch. Agassi was my favorite but he never does good on clay...so i wasn't hoping on much but it would have been nice for him to last a bit longer.

I'm watching -- but I'm damn disappointed about Federer. He's such a fantastic and well-rounded player, I really thought he had a great shot at winning the whole thing. But now that he's out, I have to agree with you about Coria. I think he's got the best chance on clay.

On the women's side I think it'll be either Serena or Amelie Mauresmo. I'd prefer Amelie, but I think the pressure of playing on her home turf might be too overwhelming for her.

I hear that Marat Safin dropped his drawers after a particularly tough point and got fined for it.

it was an unbelievable drop shot, at which he thought it was appropiate to Drop Trou...

he only got penalized one point and he won the match.

...he and Mantilla engaged in a fantastic exchange that ended with both near the net. Safin claimed the point by scooping over a drop shot at a seemingly impossible angle. To celebrate, the 2000 U.S. Open champion grabbed his white shorts, tugged them to his thighs and leaned over, ...

"This point really deserved that," Safin said. "Nobody complained. Everybody was OK."

Moya will win the tournament. I would bet $ 100 on it, easily.

    Its down to the wire.

Nalbandian's loss really surprised me today. Henman did have an outstanding run though also.

    My final predictions:

Coria over Gaudio. ( My favorite since the beginning of the tourny. I would have preferred to see Nalbandian vs. Coria, but this will do.) 4 sets.

Myskina over Dementieva. 2 sets. (btw Myskina is kinda cute  )

Whatever happened to Martina Hingis? She's still young, but she sort of disappeared after the Williams sisters became dominant. I really liked her and thought it was cool that someone with no power game whatsoever could win so many championships.

I think she had injuries she couldn't ever overcome. She's with Sergio Garcia romantically, IIRC.

Umm, Agassi won the French Open a few years ago, I would say that is doing pretty good on clay.

Just finished watching the final on tape. What a sorry way for Coria to lose. At least he'll win it next year.

    YOU are glad? ;)

    I am glad, too!

Then again, every single prediction I have made here the last two years or so concerning soccer or tennis could not have been farther from what actually happened ;).

right... yet you continue to be willing to bet 100 bucks on these predictions, lol...

but anyway... i'm onto you. you keep making false predictions in order to bait someone into betting on the next true one.;)

That may be the best match I've seen since Sampras won the 02 US Open.
