Of course, he didn't actually test positive for anything, he just disrespected their authority.

They are really on a witch hunt for him.

PARIS — France's anti-doping agency says seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong violated its rules and that it could punish him.

French doctors say they tested Armstrong's hair, urine and blood March 17. They say they found no traces of drugs.

However, the agency, known as AFLD, said in a statement Thursday that a doctor charged with testing Armstrong last month claimed Armstrong "did not respect the obligation to remain under the direct and permanent observation" of the tester.

The AFLD says it is can impose sanctions on the American rider, but didn't indicate what they would be.

Armstrong is in training to ride in this year's Tour.

Jealousy is a powerful thing. They're just bitter that an American came and dominated their event so soundly and can't find any way to nail him for cheating.

Edit: my post count has a comma now! Huzzah.

Since he only has 1 ball I always thought maybe he was prescribed something legally to help with testosterone production.

Sorry, but I think Lance Armstrong doped his way into those 7 straight Tour de France wins after testicular cancer. The stupid, goofy French authorities just aren't able to catch him. I'm so sick of hearing about the guy I just wish he'd go away and disappear.

IMO, Lance Armstrong is the Barry Bonds of cycling. I know everyone here will disagree but it's my opinion.

Was waiting for the SJC post about Lance being guilty all along, and telling us how terrible this current violation is... but I guess 3PO beat him to the punch.

These guys are worst then Jazzhole fans in annoying me. Man can you imagine officials in Football saying "Ya Mario Williams passed all the doping test, but he had did not respect his obligation." We would see a big "FU I'm gonna whoop your a$$!" from Mario. Man these French drug testers obsessed with Armstrong are a bunch of pansy's.

I'm suspicious of his 7, especially the first few, but I don't think it's possible at all to evade the degree of testing he's been put under since returning. Bonds didn't face even a fraction of what he has, in the type of testing to the amount.

The French have been popping out of bushes to give him surprise urine/blood/hair testings about once a week, samples that are being tested for EVERYTHING under the sun and constantly being compared to previous samples for abnormal changes in anything (hemoglobin, for example). Bonds had a "random" "unannounced" urine sample tested for a limited number of basic steroids about 3 times a year.

The US pro sports have laughable testing programs because they don't want a shock to the system where at least a third of their stars are exposed for being PED dependents (*cough*90% of NFL*cough*).
International cycling has turned the screws so tight that not even the Olympics are as stringent. Cycling looks bad because they've nailed so many people in the last few years, but they're cleaning the sport like a Billy Mays product.
