Can't say the same for their overpriced beverages...

I'm no Starbucks fan (mostly because of the taste, bland atmosphere, etc.), but real coffee drinks (espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, mochas, etc.) pretty much cost the same everywhere...whether it's Starbucks, Seattle's Best, Caribou, or most indie coffee shops.

A medium black coffee at Starbucks is $2.00, which is comparable to most anywhere...no?

Seattle's Best is owned by Starbucks. It is true though that coffee shops in general tend to be expensive. If you want plain coffee you are better off at McDonalds/BK or a gas station.
