Why did this game even last the extra five? Stevie missed clutch shots (although he redeemed himself in the end), and in the first half the Rocket's FT shooting was ABSOLUTELY PITIFUL!

These boys need to spend more time in the gym, alone, standing at the line, putting it up over and over again...

Freethrows make the difference between clutch and death in the playoffs. More practice is needed.

Treeman,if Rudy hadn't left Francis,Anderson, and Cato out for so long we wouldn't have lost our lead. The shock troups can only play that good for so long before their production drops and we lose BIG MO.Both the free throws and this are Rudy's responsibility. If Stevie doesn't finally get back in the game and play like the superstar he will become and/or we are playing a quality team we are screwed. We should have blown them out.Don't get me wrong,we needed this victory and I'm ecstatic that we won.

I just can't understand it. I thought for sure free throws were what the Rockets were doing tonight to try and lose the game. It looks like every game they figure out a new way to lose.

The joke is on me cus they pulled it out down the stretch. Thank goodness!

They need to be smarter out there. Our defense is horrible except for against Portland when it looked pretty good.

Can we request that Calvin Murphy be the free-throw coach for the Rox? [IMG]

I've been traveling for a while but caught the Portland game. A freethrow made at the end of that game would have made a big diff in how the outcome was played, but missing it required that we start fouling in the end to catch them. I didn't see this game last night but their FT and FG shooting as a team is down this year. Francis will start making these crucial FT's as he grows, though. As far as leaving our staters out too long in the fourth, it all depends on how long they have been playing prior to the fourth. Francis has usually played the whole third period this year, so expect him to sit out 5-6 min every fourth period. These other guys are getting paid to do their job, so their going to have to do better. If you want Francis, et al to play 40+ min a game he won't be worth much in April. I do want to see more of Anderson, though: Highly unutilized this year!!!!!
