no this he's not in Jail and no it's some sort of chance to sleep with george for free but damn what the world really needs free George Michael and Duran Duran music George Michael free on the Net March 11, 2004 - 10:30AM http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2004/03/11/1078594466940.html British singer George Michael said he was retiring from the music business and intended instead to put all his future songs on the Internet - for free. The 40-year-old pop star told BBC radio he would never make another album for sale in record shops, because he did not need the money and wanted to be less famous. Michael is currently promoting his latest album Patience, but revealed it would be his last. "I think it's going to be my last commercial promoted release. I've been very well remunerated for my talents over the years so I really don't need the public's money," he said. Now, he added, he would "really like to have something on the internet with charitable donation optional, where anyone can download my music for free". "Believe me, in the modern world if you take yourself out of the financial aspect of things, ie. if you're not in anybody's chart, you're not making anybody any money, you're not losing anybody any money, believe me, I'll be of very little interest to the press in a certain number of years. "I'll hopefully be a happier man
I hope he puts his old Wham! music out for free. I am dead serious. Flame away if you must, but damn if I'm not the world's biggest Wham! fan!!!
Say what you want. The guy has one of the most amazing voices anywhere. I'd buy his album just to hear him sing.
Since he has said that he doesn't need the money ... I went and dloaded the new album Like Pole and drapg, I LOVE his music, and it has gotten better over the years. The songs are awesome, lyrically and musically ... good stuff!
George Michael has always gotten a bad rap (I said "bad", not "wham"). I love the guy's music and think he's got a great voice.
Damn right. Of course my dad freakin likes Celine Dion, and even bought a DVD of her music videos. And he plays it in the den with the surround sound on kind of loud. It really drives my mom crazy, she thinks Dion is just repulsive. I aint down either. I like some of Michael's music, especially the stuff he did in the 80s, so yeah, it could be a lot worse.
Hey, "Faith" was a great album. Although that was 17 years ago and the man hasn't done anything worthwhile since.
I'm not ashamed to admit I've liked some of his music over the years. Monkey Freedom (A very hot video for it's time.)
