Does anyone know a place where i can get a free eye exam? I just need to find out what my eye vision is.
The military. Of course, your recruiting officer might balk when, during the interview, you say you want to enlist because of the free eye exams.
You wouldn't happen to be a UH student would you? If so, look into the free eye exams offered every semester to UH students by the College of Optometry.
I could ask my friend who is a pre-optometry major at UH if they give free ones. I know they do basic screenings, but as far as the complete exam, I'm not sure. Eyemasters has a $39 coupon for an exam.
I think I may have a coupon for a free eye exam at TSO for buying some frames & lenses a few weeks ago, but I will have to check it when I get home and that won't be til tomorrow. Send me an e-mail to remind me if you are still interested...
Be careful with those Free Exam coupons. Remember that you have to pay for 1.The exam and 2. The glasses. Lets say the exam is normally $55. Then you have to pay for glasses, lets say on average $200 a pair(decent frames/lenses). Most opticals are going to have specials. Eyemasters has the 2 for $99. Other places have like $75 off lenses or frames. If you use that Free Exam coupon, you probably only get the exam amount off the glasses and still have to pay the remainder of the glasses(200-55 = 145). OR you could pay the exam price and then get the $75 off ( 200 - 75 = 125). I used to work for Eyemasters. If you want the most bang for your buck, use the $39 coupon for the exam and do the 2 for $99. Thats an exam and 2 pairs of glasses for $138 bucks. If you want 1 of those pairs to be sunglasses, its only like $20 more. If you have a Bad Rx like I do, you will have to splurge a little more money for better lenses. Post here with more glasses or exam questions. I worked for eyemasters for 3 years and my father has practiced optometry for 25 years and I'm familiar with pretty much everything that goes on in a Dr's office.
