Back when I first started posting heavily about video games, I used to post there (well, at the PS boards anyway) and I may have posted some links to the forums. Maybe that got you to sign up. IIRC, there used to be like 3 separate forums/sites (PSInext/PS3Insider, Xbox Raw, and Nintendo Now or something like that). If you were ever a member of one of those forums, then you're also member of the e-mpire forums. FWIW, I haven't gotten any real spam from them. Mostly just forum/site announcements like this event. Maybe a couple emails a year or so.
Oh...you can pre-order now. I stopped paying attention to the page a couple hours ago, but it looks like you can sign up for the DVD now. BTW, I think I read the 1st shipments will go out about a week after E3.
