I wouldn't be shocked to see Battier come back, especially if we add a piece that makes us a contender.

I dont see us adding anyone significant to be honest.. The Rockets are in mediocre land right now and its very hard to get out of

We need a star to come close to becoming a contender. The chances of that are remote. We are a lottery team. Battier would be better off going to a better team.

Based on this list, I think it's pretty obvious we will be going after Luc Mbah a Moute of Milwaukee

He will be retired before we are a contender again.

Now there is a crap load of big man that are free agents in there, if we don't get at least one from that list then Morey should be fired! I would take any of these guys.

    DeAndre Jordan
    Tyson Chandler
    Joel Przybella
    Josh McRoberts
    Marc Gasol (RFA)
    Kendrick Perkins
    Samuel Dalembert
    Zach Randolph

I think they will all sign back with their team except for Przybella, but he'll probably go to the Magic or Celtics depending on which one gives him the most money.
If we have a shot at Wilson Chander (RFA), we should go for it.

Don't sign anyone. Save as much cap room as we can for 2012.

I agree, but I think u can do both. Spend 7m per on Wilson Chandler or Thaddeus Young, then trade scola for a cheap player and pick or expiring. Go into next season with lowry,martin,chandler/young/patterson/hill,thabeet as the starting 5. Trade miller and replace him with a younger, cheap player. At the end of the yr, go after howard and williams.. The rockets payroll need to be around 30m at the end of next season.

Marc would obviously be my top choice as he's rounding into All Star shape.....We'll probably make an offer... I'm not sure Memphis could afford NOT to match.....

And I'm afraid that Perkins is in OKC longterm.......

Chandler brings good interior defense but the cost in $ would be prohibitive to a rebuilding team. I see him taking a little less and going to a contender.

Pryz is a big body who hustles and will cost more than he's worth. Again, he's not going to a team rebuilding.

Randolph has had a career contract year...surprise....wouldn't want to gamble on what happens next with all this cheese he's getting.....also doesn't fit in with rebuilding effort.

Now, for the right price Dalembert intrigues me ....gives us size interior D and a shotblocking presence .....I'm not sure how much he'll command but we all know it'll be much, much less than his current contract.

Jordan is highly touted by many ....

On Dalembert,I left out his prodigious rebounding abilities.

I will say this though. He has a tendency to get in foul trouble so we'd have to have a dependable backup.....or a young player that needs court time to develop .....
