I dont think the RB class is really that weak. There are 4 or 5 guys that are pretty good. My off season FA class would be Christian Wilkins Danielle Hunter Jordyn Brooks A.J. Dillon Re-signing Cashman Nelson Rankins Davis Johnston. I would let all of the FA's go besides Cashman and maybe Nelson if it meant being able to add Wilkins and Hunter. What I wonder is if they will have enough money to get Wilkins/Hunter and a cheap LB like Al-Shaair or Burks from the 49ers?
Online friend is a friend of minority owner (I know... 6 degrees and all) But said friend has hit on ALL of his Texans' intel over the years (esp. on free agents & draft) I say that to say this: he was told Mike Evans is a target for the Texans IF he is willing to take around 3 years, $45M. Puts him in top 20 WR in terms of AAV (top 10 in AFC)
Chris jones would be a fantastic addition to the DL but that man is gonna want big time money. I’m old enough to remember the Albert Haynsworth deal so giving DT crazy money scares me. Christian Wilkins might be a better target in terms of value tbh.
Double digit sacks from an interior DL would open up EVERYTHING for our defense. Jones is by far my first choice, but Wilkins in on the right side of 30 and can presumably continue to improve a bit more. Jerzhan Newton and Leonard Taylor III would be my draft choices to try and fill the position if the Texans spend the money elsewhere.
No. He doesn't share A LOT because he is afraid he will lose access. He specifically mentioned Mike Evans tho. He had also mentioned Stroud & WAJ prior to the draft and that there was a strong desire to draft BY (if the team had not fallen out of the top spot)
The Bengals will probably lose 2 of their next 3 games against the Steelers, KC, and the Browns. I wish we could clinch 3 of our next 4 games with the easier schedule, but damn our team is a skeleton crew. It seems so unlikely we could pull it off. We haven't gone a single week without losing starters. I'm hoping the powers that be finally bless us with some strength to overcome the odds.
