I don't have a problem with Derek Barnett, but isn't he more of an edge? Calais Campbell is significantly larger and can play DT in a 4-3.
I'm really digging all the moves by the Texans this offseason. It's nice not to be a joke of a franchise anymore. Hopefully we will continue to be well-run and this continues a deep run of excellence perhaps even AKA the Houston Astros . Maybe not as many Super Bowls, but I don't know, anything could happen. Would be pretty sweet to do something the Oilers never did in Houston.
#HerMeOut Houston may or may not be done making moves! #InBDNwt #2Houstons #HTineHolItDine :eyesemoji:
Yes, he is an edge, while Calais Campbell has the versatility to play either DE or DT. Given the current roster construction, I think Autry is already slated to play the role of a DT on pass rushing downs and a possible rotational piece at DE. I think this team might have a bigger need of a rotational DE than another hybrid DE/DT.
I like the trade we made but sucks we are out of day 1 https://www.nfl.com/news/vikings-texans-trade-first-round-pick-2024-nfl-draft
Glad the real AD got his ring to put a stamp on his career.. Him and Warren Sapp the 2 best to ever line up at DT ..
