Free agency begins at 5pm central tonight. Same drill as last year. We're going to allow team relocation from small markets ONLY that will be effective at the beginning of NEXT season. Only two teams will be allowed to relocate this first year. Teams that can relocate include Minnesota, Kansas City, Oakland, Florida, among others. If you're making more than 65 million or so... don't even ask . All moves are subject to a vote by all league owners. I get to decide the computer teams votes for them. If you are genuinely having financial trouble, I'll vote "yes" with all of them. If you want to relocate, tell me here. Possible destinations include but are not limited to: Mexico City, Richmond, VA Portland, OR Austin, TX
After taking a vote in the chatroom, the A's are officially on their way to Mexico City! They won't move from Oakland until this current season is over.
Breese: Ok, to relocate, you need to find 16 people to vote for your relocation efforts. I, and the 9 computer controlled teams, vote yes for you. So find 6 more (not including yourself) and you can go. I had originally intended to restrict moves to two per year, but I might not, given the fact that the two people to move so far were both in chat, which wasn't really fair. I will warn you though, Austin won't be THAT much better than Philly.
