I agree with rockhead, i bought the cd about 2 weeks ago, and i like it alot. I also picked up Snow Patrol, that cd is awesome too.
haha... then just get the Franz Ferdinand... good stuff... and Modest Mouse - Good News For People Who Like Bad News
I got their CD recently and it is alright. People kept saying that it was better than Interpol. Well, I strenuously (sp?) disagree with that assessment. Interpol is the better band, IMO.
Anybody has something from the (also scotisch?) band called BALLBOY I just read some excellent reviews of their record "guide for daylight hours". Their songtitles are quite funny. Some examples: 1. avant garde music 2. where do the nights of sleep go to when they do not come to me 3. you can't spend your whole life hanging around with arseholes 4. i wonder if you're drunk enough to sleep with me tonight 5. i lost you, but i found country music 6. a europewide search for love 7. something's going to happen soon 8. nobody really knows anything 9. sex is boring 10. meet me at the shooting range 11. all the records on the radio are ****e 12. a man's a man for a' that or 1. i hate scotland 2. essential wear for future trips to space 3. sex is boring 4. donald in the bushes with a bag of glue 5. olympic cyclist 6. i've got pictures of you in your underwear 7. one sailor was waving 8. swim for health 9. they'll hang flags from cranes upon my wedding day 10. postcards from the beach... 11. dumper truck racing 12. public park 13. a day in space 14. leave the earth behind you and take a walk into It would be great if someone has heard anything from.
When I first saw this thread, I thought it was about the Archduke Franz Ferdinand and skipped over it. Late last night though, I had fallen asleep with the TV on. I put it on MTV when they were having a news break about the new Jennifer Garner Movie, Elektra. After that, a video came on from Franz Ferdinand for the song Take Me Out. Damn, it was a good song. I know I've heard the music from the chorus before, but not sure where. Maybe a commercial for the CD or something. Anyways when I saw the name of the band, it occured to me what this thread had actually been about.
