Did you see tonight's game? If you were one of the few that did then you must have seen the play that should have won us this game(even though we didnot deserve it). What more proof are you idiots out there (including Rockets Management) need in order to understand that Steve Francis is NO DAMN PG!! He is just playing there because he wants his good buddy Cuttino to be in the starting line-up. I sincerely hope the Rockets make a much-needed trade within the next 2 weeks to bring in a veteran point guard who barely sees minutes or is expendable on his team (Avery Johnson comes to mind?). Notice I said VETERAN, which is a key word for I don't want to see another arrogant punk out there playing streetball and trying to gain individual fame instead of playing for the good of the team. Peace out!

    ------------------------------------------------------------

P.S.: Don't ever get frustrated for a team that doesnot get frustrated themselves!

    Roger that.

I would like to get Avery Johnson or Nick Van Exel. I mean.....at least they are a little intelligent. Avery could play some good backup minutes and that would lead to the NO PLAYING TIME of Moochie. Great! I still want Moochie on the team...but no playing. Avery would also be a great mentor. He wants to be a coach, right?

We need a true point guard... :(

    I QUIT.

Come on the offense was fine, we scored a 102 points. Francis did his job, this team is doing their job offensively, if we had played defense, the Rockets win the game and people aren't screaming for a "true" PG. Play some D, the Rockets will win.

I was about to start my own thread on a topic very much like this, but I decided to just put my post in this thread.

I have always been a Mobley fan, I love the heart that he plays with and the fact that he always gives everything he has on the court. That being said, after watching the Rockets over the course of the year, I truly believe that it is time for him to go. Francis and Mobley both feel that they are the first options on offense, and that the offense should revolve around them, and in the last few years that was fine, but now with Yao in the middle, the offense MUST be run through the post. It is unacceptable that Yao only had 8 shots tonight. It seemed like down the stretch everytime he touched the ball, something good happened, whether it was off his own shot or getting others involved. We saw what this team was capable of in the home games with Sacramento and Minnesota, the shots were spread around and we anniliated to very good teams. Yao has to get his touches for this team to be successful. Now the question becomes, what can we get for Mobes? If the Clippers are dumb enough to give us Brand for Cat and Griffin, we have no choice but to pull the trigger in a nanosecond. However, I feel like in order for this team to reach its potential, Francis must shift to the 2 spot, and we have to bring in a pure point guard. Who that is, I don't know, but Francis' turnovers have become unacceptable, and he has proven that be does not have what is takes to be a distributor in the NBA. Don't get me wrong, Francis is an unbelieveable scorer, but you don't want a scorer running you offense. In conclusion, in order to get this team where it needs to be, I strongly believe that Mobley must go in exchange for a true point guard, Francis must accept the fact that he is not a point guard, and the offense must revolve around Yao.

    What about Jason Kidd?

Kidd has told his team that he'd like to play the free agent market. Trade Steve Francis for Jason Kidd, and with Francis gone, Mobley's gonna b**** and boo-hoo cry.....i'd say trade his ass too! Obviously for Elton Brand from the Clippers (hope the rumor is true). Get rid of Rice.......

Very dubious he has any interest playing here. Also, I doubt Houston has enough room in the salary cap to sign him.

I'd settle for a Vet point guard that knows how to man the helm with authority and plays decent D. I cannot stress Mark Jackson enough.

We should have scored 105..if Francis didnt make a bonehead play. Francis is a shooting guard(he certainly likes to shoot)..so I am in definite favor of trading for a VETERAN pg

Francis is definitely a great player. But compared to Steve Nash, I can hardly believe Francis is a PG.

No, Avery is too old. He might be able to get his teammates involved, but he had his historical problems of hitting open jumpers and his D at this stage isn't good at all.

Van Exel is another ballhog, and has the same mentality and style as Steve and Mobley have. It is not that suprising they are
    good freinds.

Guys trading away one of the games best playeres who is still pretty young for an aging point guard is just stupid. If the rockets announced today that they are looking to deal francis for a aging point guard they would have atleat 25 calls in minutes. you can gete frustrated but dont get foolish.

We need a guard who can backup Francis at the point like an Avery Johnson but it would be nice if we could get a younger player like Tony Parker or Jaric.

Nice to see some people coming around to my POV about the VETERAN presence that is needed. IMO, Mark Jackson is the only guard that you could reasonably persue, and only after this season. Unless you sign Mugsy Bogues back from retirement. Dallas will not trade AJ as it's a dogfight between them and SA as to who AJ will start his coaching career with.

Francis on his last turnover: "I should have kept the ball, but he (Yao) looked wide open."

I really want to open a new thread on this, titled "I should have kept the ball", but never mind......

What a wonderful catch phrase for tonight. What a wonderful conclusion from our most intelligent player who get it all but the fundamentals of passing. I think he has learned a valuable lesson and we can all expect more great AND1 basketball for the rest of the season.

One play in one game is all the proof we need that we need a new point guard? What kind of ****ed up logic is that?

Yeah, I remember Francis saying this to Vancouver as his reason he wanted to play PG on draft day.

what a stupid comment there tigermission. Or do you want to back off and say..."heypee, you are so mean, you should have known I was just having fun."

bull****...it is a stupid comment no matter how you slice it.

    dumb. plain dumb.
