if Francis was choosen to be an allstar this year he wouldnt particpipate in the other events (picture Matt Bullard throwing up bricks and embarrasing Cynthia Cooper and the city of Houston during NBA 2Ball) . Besides I want to see him throw down some moster jams and win the slam dunk contest john Stockton makes the All-star team because hes popular Its all about popularity If you like Kobe you vote for him if you like some sucky player you dont vote for him you vote for a household name after Francis wins rookie of the year he will be an Allstar for years to come (hopefully in houston)

He couldn't play in the rookie game, but why couldn't he compete in the slam dunk or the 2ball? Vince Carter is going to be in the slam dunk and he's playing in the all-star game. I can't imagine that a couple of rounds of 2Ball is going to wear Steve out.
Carter had to withdraw from teh rookie game because he's in the "real" all-star game. You're not allowed to be in both. ------------------ trade them all and fire the coach.
