Since my boy is getting traded for some strange reason I just wanted to see what yall thought his top plays as a Rocket were. Here are mine: 1. Circus shot he made over Shaq in the playoffs 2. Dunking on Jahdi White his first trip back to D.C. 3. Making Troy Hudson look foolish with his killa crossover 4. Throwing the ball off the backboard and dunking on three Vancouver Grizzlies his rookie season 5. Crossing Iverson so bad that Iverson was holding his rib. 6.Catching an alley and dunking on Sabonis his rookie season (I was at that game) 7.Hitting a buzzer beating three to defeat the Jazz 8.Dunking on Big Country his rookie season in Vancouver 9.The way he does the "skip to my lou" dribble up the court 10. The way he gave 100% every game for 5 seasons.
11. He made a dunk against the Mavs where he hung on and then wrapped his legs up around the rim. Rudy T just started laughing when he saw that.
I like Francis a lot too, but It's no strange reason he's getting traded. We're getting a stud named Tracy McGrady in return, there's nothing strange about that, it's a blessing. One of my favorites and others around here enjoy it too, is the total posterization of Jahidi White. Francis jumped right over him, it was similar to the VC dunk on that tall guy at the Olympics. BTW, wasn't there already a "Francis Appreciation" thread?
I think the "some strange reason" was in relation to his desire to make a list of top plays, not in relation to the trade. That's how I read it. His grammar is vague. Anyway, I appreciate the thread. It's nice to remember some of the amazing stuff he did in a Rox uni.
i'm also a fan of Francis i will always support him wherever he goes. but i can understand trading him for McGrady, but i do not think this is a thread were we should discuss if it is good that he is traded, just remember his play for the rockets with joy. so stop saying negative things about him, there are enough threads were you can bash him. i will have to go with the humiliating of hudson. damn Francis played him like a little child on that play. it was great to see
With all the T-mac talk it got lost on the BBS. http://bbs2.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=79088
Speaking of the Blazers, i'll never forget the play where Francis dunked on Sabonis then hung on the rim and Sabonis wasn't moving so he kinda wrapped his legs around him and made him look stupid.
Didn't the Astros have some clutch hits in the 1986 NLCS despite losing that series? Better start changing that name!
The Hudson play was sick. I remember Francis had like 34pts in that game with 6 or 7 minutes left and he asked Rudy to take him out so the bench could get some playing time.
I was only 3 so i don't remember that but any Astro team AFTER 86 then I will change it. And we all know that won't happen.
Thats alright but my boy Steve will be in the east putting up 24 a game. T-Mac will be hurt by MLK Day.
