It's offical! Francis set to return Friday Houston Chronicle Guard Steve Francis, who has been on the injured list since Nov. 28 with a ruptured plantar fascia tissue in his left foot, was cleared to play in Friday's game at Golden State, Rockets team physician Walter Lowe said Wednesday. Lowe examined Francis after a lengthy workout before Wednesday's game and said Francis "looked great." "Everything looks good for Friday," Lowe said. "We're planning on bringing him back for limited minutes, 10 to 15 minutes. He'll practice on Saturday and then we should be rolling." Francis said he felt good enough after Wednesday's workout to suit up and play. "I feel great," Francis said. "I want to play tonight." -- JONATHAN FEIGEN
Yeah, he sucked. Still, I was glad he got the start and is looking better in the offense......just need to hit those wide open shots.
Francis will help us win some of those close games, but the games will still be in the balance every night because we really are not that good.
It's about time, maybe I can wake up from this nightmare. I would have dreamed this yr. would be like this.
Francis3, I hope you are not refering to that terrible pass that Mobley threw him last night. He cut him a heater from 6 feet as the clock was winding down, it was a horrible pass. Torres fumbled it, for sure, but it was a bad pass way too late in the possesion. DD
Are you kidding? Knowing the way Rudy plays guys after injuries, we probably won't see Francis play more than 15 minutes until March.
It said in the paper today that he would be limited to 15 minutes on Friday, then a full pactice on Saturday and, if he doesn't have any complications, he can resume his normal playing time.
I think we'll blow out the Warriors tonight. I bet Franchise will convince Rudy T to let him play 20 minutes tonight. Francis: 20 minutes, 20 points, 8-15 shooting, 5 dimes, 4 boards.
